In getting out our artifical tree from storage, we discovered that throughout the year, our cat had a field day in using the tree as a litter box. It smells horrible. I tried cleaning the branches as best as I could with vinegar and water, and sprayed it with an enzyme cleaner. I'm letting it airdry overnight before we decorate, but I'm still a little hesitant if the tree is truly clean.
Anyone had this before? What to do? The tree is a year old...grrr...

. But don't use the tree again unless your cat is an outside kitty. Otherwise, you'll likely just end up with pee on your presents when the cat starts peeing on the tree once it's up.
) Better not to cultivate a love of cat urine odor.
