I have 3 cats and one litter box.... that is not the problem it is the amount of litter that is tracked throughout my house....

So the question is what do you use to keep it down in your house... to keep it to only in the bathroom where the litter box is... Thanks

As you know, I do not own a cat, but I do have a litterbox for the frequently-visiting flippin Kitty.

The box is down by the furnace and water heater and crap like that. It is covered - one of those dome thingies - and that right there takes care of a lot of the litter. :)

The crystals seem to get tracked around far less than the old stuff did.

And I got a couple mats at the Petsmart that go right off the ramp where she exits the box, so they catch the rest of the litter. They're funky, with designs on them and holes and stuff.

There are probably better ways, but that's what I've found (so far) that works.

Good luck!

:)

We have two cats, one with long hair, and two litter boxes side-by-side in the basement. I too was going nuts with litter tracked all over the basement and up the stairs to the main floor. I finally went to Home Depot and bought a big piece of outdoor carpeting (the green plastic stuff) off the roll and put it under the litterboxes. Now that they have to walk over about 3 feet of it after using the litter, it has drastically cut down on the litter ending up all over. The stiff "carpet" kind of rakes the litter out of their fur and traps it until I pick it up and shake it outside.

Thank you.... I knew someone would have a solution....
