What brand of cat litter do you use?
We are thinking of making a switch.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Just had my first doctor's appointment and all is well. Many of my questions were answered and worries put at ease. I"m 6 weeks along and feeling like I'm on a good track.
My doctor gave me a few options for either a GYN doctor or a Midwife and I'm spending the next day trying to choose which one I should go for. I'm leaning toward a regular GYN, but I'd love to know a little more about the mid-wife experience.
What are the pro's & cons of having a midwife instead of a gyn?
I'm not really the type to want to "bond" with my doctor and I just want to feel safe knowing that I am choosing someone who can handle any type of situation in a delivery room.
If anyone could share their experience, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Have you looked for any pregnancy message boards? They are all pregnancy all the time and might be better able to answer all of your questions.
FTR, I used a GYN.
Tidy Cat Breeze system for us. It makes cleaning out the boxes so much cleaner and easier! It's pricy, but I order supplies from Amazon in bulk which helps make it a little cheaper.
I'm interested in hearing responses.
We were using the BJ's store brand and it clumped well but was pretty dusty. Then we switched to the Breeze (pad and pellet) system for a few years until my cats decided they weren't going to use it anymore
Now we are back to litter but no BJ's membership. Everything we try just doesn't clump for us. They kick it all apart (well, I think the one cat does) and the litter boxes are always a mess. We have tried Tidy Step, Fresh Step, and Arm & Hammer. The arm & hammer seems to work the best, but it is really expensive and even then the clumps fall apart. This is driving me nuts though!
We were actually looking into the Breeze as an option! Do you have multiple cats? If so, do you have two Breeze systems in your house? Amazon would be a good option for us because we signed up for Amazon Prime so we get free 2 day shipping.
We used the Breeze for about 2 years. Clean up was super easy and a "breeze"That being said, I think the box really had an odor. We keep ours in our basement but as soon as you went down there you could smell it. We scooped it off at least once a day and changed the pad twice a week and it still stank. I dumped deoderizer on the pad and that helped a little, but it really had an odor. I think the only way to get rid of the odor was to change the pellets every week or two tops...but that was really cost prohibitive. We also used at least 1 1/2 bags of pellets at a time because one was not enough. Also, it is a COMPLETE nightmare if your cats ever get diarreah.
I would NEVER use this system if it needs to be in a small area like a bathroom or in a living space. We were debating about switching back to litter when our cats made the decision for us by refusing to use the breeze boxes.
What are the Breeze Pellets exactly? Do they look/feel like regular litter? I'm wondering if my cats will take to a different texture...
We use "Swheat Scoop". It's supposed to be low-dust and low-tracking. I suppose it is. What I really need to do is trim the cats' claws. They won't track as much if they're trimmed.
Funny thing: I had been using "puppy pads" just outside the litter box, to catch some of the displaced litter. But one of them decided that it was a great place to pee. Makes me wonder if they were paper-trained as kitties?
We use Tidy Cats.
Since you are pregnant (and you may already know this) make sure DH takes over litter duty.![]()

BTW...OBGYN delivered my first child and a midwife delivered the last two. The OBGYN shows up just long enough to "catch" the baby, whereas the midwife stays with you almost the entire labor.
We've had pretty much 6 cats for the past 20 years and the best, hands down, for odor that we've found is a pine based litter. The brand we use is Feline Pine. We've tried others but always go back to the pine.
