Cat Harness

I would love to try a harness on my cat or even a leash to get her outside however another solutiion although a little more pricey....they have cat strollers....look like kid strollers but have zippered mesh coverings so that they can look out but are protected....they're kind of cool.

We were lucky, Millie was already harness trained when we got her:

She adores going outside. Funny, during the day she does a lot of stop & sniff, but if taken out after dark, she just walks along like a dog. I've been told (but don't have the patience to train our other cat) that it's easier if you:

1) Start when they're kittens. 2) Leave it lying around for a few days until the cat gets used to it "being there". 3) Put just the harness on for a few minutes at a time (with lots of praise & treats) until the cat quits acting like a bucking bronco. 4) Then let them drag the leash around until they get used to that.

There are also cat "walking jackets" that some swear by - instead of a few constraining straps, it's a lightweight vest-kinda thing with velcro. :confused3

Awww... Millie is adoarable :)

I have had no luck at all with little kitty, we really try with her, lots of treats and let her get used to it on in the house, but she just lies there. lol
