Cat food

Iams dry for all 3 of our cats. Our 16 year old also gets a can of Fancy Feast every day. We started that when she was going through a rough patch and wouldn't eat, and now that she's all better we haven't been able to stop. We would have a mutiny on our hands.

We've recently changed to Natural Balance brand both for canned & dry catfood. It's available at places like Pet Smart.:cat:

fancy feast wet only

one cat will eat anything you put in her bowl.
other cat only eats fish, chicken ones, she is too picky

We feed our cat dry food, Fromm's brand. It is locally made, sold exclusively at pet stores, and good quality.

We feed both of our dogs the Fromm's brand dry dog food as well.
We are also Fromm feeders... I feel ridiculously gourmet when buying pet food when I'm reading these labels...

my cat's favorite flavor is the Surf and Turf: A grain-free blend of wild salmon, duck, chicken, real Wisconsin cheese, whole eggs, and hand-selected fruits & vegetables (peas, carrots, broccoli,Cauliflower, apples, green beans, cranberries, blueberries, chicory)

Purina Cat Chow Indoor dry food.
She's really not into wet food.
Try to give her a piece of table food now and then and she won't touch it.
I've had 2 cats previous to this one and the one ate Fancy Feast wet food and the other Purina Cat Chow dry food.
My vet pretty much said that I was a horrible cat owner for feeding them what I did and in their older age insisted I get super expensive cat foods.
My older cat wanted nothing to do with it so we stopped for her and when the other cat became older and we were told to switch he really started going down hill after that and then it was a struggle to get him to eat much of anything for about a year.
Needless to say after he passed I found a different vet for my new kitten. They don't judge me for what I feed my cat and she's a healthy kitty who will be 2 on November 7th.

What brand of cat food do.you feed? Do use dry or wet?

Purina naturals dry.
Plus 2 cans of wet cat food each day. (4 cats) Usually Friskies (they prefer the filets/shreds) but it's 9Lives pate this month, because it was on sale for $2.49 per box (12 ct) at Chewy last month.

How do you like Chewy? I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen the ads lately.

Pretty good. I get 40lbs of their cat litter for $11.58 autoshipped, and it works ok. I scoop every day, so it never has a chance to get bad. I go through 4 bags a month (instead of 5 of the 35 lb $14.99 tub at Walmart), so this saves me about $25 going this route. Plus I only have to haul it in the door and into the cat room, not around the store.

Hitting the stuff they have on sale and autoship is where I save at. The cat tree I have for my cats, I paid $150 on Amazon, and it's always on sale on Chewy for $67.99.

Purina Pro-Plan is what I feed my cat, both dry and wet. She only gets about a third of a can a day for the wet, but as much dry as she wants. It is what she was fed when she was in the PetSmart adoption area and they gave me a bunch free when I adopted her. I figure, she eats it, why mess with it? Also, my vet told me that it was a good quality food, so no complaints, other than that I can't buy it at Target and have to got o a dedicated pet store.

My two 2 year olds eat wet and dry.

Vet found that one of them has bad gingivitis, which could cause early tooth issues, so recommended Hill's Prescription t/d Dental food. The other (super finicky) cat also likes it, so I give it to both of them.

Wet, they like Applaws Tender Chicken Breast in Broth. Again, one is super finicky. He likes it, and it doesn't have preservatives, ash, or other additives.

Both are slighly more expensive than other foods, but I don't have kids, so I might as spoil the furkids!
