Has anyone stayed in any of these rooms and if so can you please let me know if it had the steamer trunk and which way the head of the bed is?

TIA
Joanna

Joanna,
Looking on the diagram of deck 5 it looks like 5514 and 5516 will have the trunk , but not 5518. I've read on other posts about the steamer trunks - that they are in rooms with the nonstraight walls. The rooms that have the straight walls on the diagram do not have room for the trunk. I haven't sailed yet, but this is my understanding. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

OK now if someone can tell me which way any of the beds are, I need to have my feet forward, I can't go backwards. I hope you know what I mean. If the headboard is forward then you are sailing backwards.

Oops.........
Just realized I was on the other side of the ship in 5018! (head of bed forward) Comment recinded!:yo-yo:

I believe the way to tell which way the head of the bed is facing is to look at the deck diagrams and see which side of the room the door is on. The door opens next to the bathroom. The head of the bed is on the side of the room that the bathroom is on. For example, look at 5650, shich is the stateroom we had last April. The door is toward the back of the ship; the bathroom is toward the front of the ship. The headboard of the bed was on the front of the ship side of the room. I hope this helps!!

5514 had the steamer trunk this summer. When you walk in the room the head of the bead is on the left side. If I am reading the map correctly, you would be traveling backwards. I had a little trouble w/ seasicknesses. I was the only one in the family. I only had it in the room. The girls from the spa told me to eat a green apple. It worked. I think I got it because I tried to work on my computer & read while in bed at night, when I was already exhausted. They also recommended getting out of the room. Talk a walk outside, look at the horizon, and then relax your breathing.

Good luck!
