cat 6 which stateroom would you pick???

We had cabin #6042 and loved this location. In fact, we'd request it again. But...I think we liked it so much because our sons are teens, so my husband and I spent a lot of time at Quiet Cove, the adult pool area. We'd walk out of our cabin, turn left, and it was a very short distance to the fore elevators which took us right to the Quiet Cove area. If you think you'd be spending more time in the family pool area, maybe a cabin a bit more mid-ship would be good, although, our cabin was very close to the mid-ship elevators, as well. Being on deck 6, we really never had too many decks to go up or down, to get anywhere. :)

We had 6088 which was midship. We loved it. We may choose to be a little closer to the midship elevators, that way we are only across from the CM work/supply rooms and not a stateroom. Otherwise we loved the room and would definitely do that side again. very central to everything, restaurants and kids clubs. We had perfect views of St. Maarten and all the docking activity and also of Charlotte Amalie when we anchored in the bay (not that that helps on the Wonder).

When we did our ressies last month for our cruise next year we were placed in 6588. From what I found it is across the hall from the laundry room. Alot of people said it was hot and nosiy with people going in and out of the laundry room. We requested to be moved and now we are in 6092.

6588 is directly across the hall from the laundry room. you will love your new location. very quiet.

What about #6538? We are trying to be moved more mid-ship, but that's where we are right now?

Any comments or suggestions?

We would Pick one of these 4 rooms

6134, 6634, 7120, 7620
Because they Are Sold AS Cat 7 Rooms and They use to Be cat 5

But Are the Same as cat 6 & 5

If u Go To This Website www.dcltribute.com
and look under stateroms u can See for Yourself and it Would Be worth it To Save Some Money But I Believe they may only Sleep 3

we have 6134 for our cruise this weekend and have stayyed in 7120 also...

If you have just 3 pp in your stateroom, consider Deck 5 Aft, too. It's a personal favorite because it's never very crowded - there aren't very many staterooms on Deck 5, it's right down the hall from the Kids' Club/ Flounders Nursery and Aft means you're always closeby the FOOD - Parrot Cay, Animator's, Beach Blanket, beverage station and Palo!:teeth:

I agree...we waitlisted these for next December.

We returned in August from the wonder and we were in room 6144 far aft, portside. We had no problems at all with the room, very quiet, right near the aft elevators. We have booked cat 6 for next August but have gone this time for midship, starboard, just to see what it is like to have a varandah with plexiglass and not the metal varandah we had in 6144. We could not see out to sea at all when sitting on the varandah in this room.

Although, in choppy seas not being able to see out may not be a bad thing (lol.)

it's really not bad at all! The corridor may be humid but when you get in the stateroom, it's fine - and you always know where your stateroom is! Never had a problem with noise either. I particularly appreciated it when I had to do laundry as I could sit on my verandah with a glass of wine instead of popping back and forth to check the machine/dryer! So if anyone's "stuck" with 6588, please don't worry ;) ;) ;)

Can you come back and post whether or not your cabin (6134) sleeps 3 or 4 people. Thanks! :)

What about 6590? Is that also right by the laundry room and would you possibly move back then to 6594 or 6596? Since our ports will be Nassau and Castaway Cay is this the side of the ship we want to be on? Does the ship back in at Nassau or pull right in? Appreciate any help.

We have had 6590, 6084 and recently 6130. There is no guaranty how the ship will pull into CC -- it has done it both ways (backed in and pulled forward). This past time we were on port side and were never facing the port on any of the stops. So you never know.

We've had 6042 and 6118. I liked both of them, but 6118 was easier to get to the stairs straight down to the movie theater or up to Topsiders or Scoops.

We had 6580. We were directly above the stabilizers. Nice smooth sailing. It was convenient to the stairs and the oceaneer lab.

What about #6538?

We have 6540, and from the deck plan, it looks like a good spot. It seems like every room has it's positives and negatives. We have a long walk to Animator's Palatte, but a short walk to the Walt Disney Theater and the Oceaneer's Lab. Before I booked, I spent so much time trying to analyze which room would be the best, but when I called to book, I took the first one that was offered, and it was 6540. Any room would be fine with me, as long as I'm on the ship! Of course if you have special needs, like mobility issues or very small kids, closer to the elevators might be prime. 6540 is close to elevators, too.
