I'm so confused! We are currently booked on the Dream on deck 5 in a category 4E but our TA just let me know that a 4C is available on deck 7. We've never been on the Dream before so I have no idea what to do! I was excited at first about the extended verandah on deck 5 but it sounds like the cabin is slightly bigger on deck 7.

What do I do?? There will be 2 adult and 2 kids if that makes a difference.

Just got off the Dream Thursday and stayed in a 4C on 7-- very spacious room- has the split bath and the round bathtub/shower. Room seemed a little larger than my family members who were staying in a 4E. Sleeping arangements are the queen bed, fold down couch, fold down "bunk" above the couch and a fold down that comes out of the wall in front of the verandah. We were very happy with our 4C and would definitely book it again :)

I would take a 4C any day over a 4E. The extra room inside (I also have two kids) really makes a difference to us. I didn't miss the extra space on the balcony when we didn't have it (we sailed in a 4B, then 4E, then 4B again).

Y'all answered my question too! I was wondering if a 4c would be better than a 4e but since it is just my dd and I and we love the verandahs, I would rather have the extended verandah on deck 5.

Thanks for the replies so far! I keep going back and forth. I just can't decide! I really like the idea of the extended verandah and the fact that there are far less staterooms on deck 5. I'm the most indecisive person on the planet! ;)

Any other opinions/thoughts?

We had a 4E on the Dream and loved it. The extended verandah was great, and just having the door open made our room feel bigger. We only have one child, so the extra inside space was not important to us. If we were in your shoes, it would depend exactly where the two rooms were located. If one is in a better/quieter location, that's the one I would choose. What are the two room numbers in question?

You've probably seen pics of the extended verandahs, but here's ours just in case.

Funny, we've done both of those, 5150 (4E) on the Dream and 7586 (4C) on the Fantasy. The 4E has less indoor space and a rectangular bath. The veranda is bigger too. The 4C is bigger inside, and has the round tub with rainfall shower.

We found Deck 7 quieter, as Deck 5 has the kids clubs on it so there was a lot of foot traffic. It was also a good location for using stairs to go up or down.

While the big veranda was nice, we really only need room to sit, so I didn't find it that useful. Our kids are 7 and 8 so bigger inside space definitely helped so we didn't feel so cramped or on top of each other...

If it was my first time, it would depend on the length of the cruise...for a shorter 4 day I'd try the 4E, but for a longer cruise I'd always take the space and round tub :)

Oh I love that picture! That's exactly what I picture, a glass of wine enjoying the ocean and the sunshine! We are currently booked in 5050 (4e), the 4c cabin is room 7062. Thanks!

That veranbah looks great! We're booked in 5030/5032 next week on the Dream, can't wait!

We are on a 4 night cruise and we do have a round tub. Well, that's what the room description says any way. My kids will be 9 and 11. We had a travel trailer for a number of years so we are used to tight quarters. :)

Hmm... That's an interesting one. Room 5050 is forward, so you won't see as much traffic going to/from the kids' clubs. However, it is pretty close to the elevators and stairs and to the balcony seating for the Buena Vista Theater. Room 7062 looks to be in a quiet location, with rooms above and below. It's close, but not too close, to two sets of elevators/stairs. Both are on the port side, so that's a wash. In this case I'd probably go with the 4C, but that's just my $.02!

Oh luck you!! Would you mind taking a few pictures of the cabin and verandah and post them when you get back?

Have a GREAT time!!

The 4Es do not have the round tub, look at the floor plan of the Cat 5 rooms to see how a 4E is configured (they were originally 5Es but they changed the numbering to 4E, which is misleading.) If I had 2 people I would choose the 4E but with 4 people I would go with the 4C. (I had a 4B on the Fantasy and loved it.)

Will do, are you staying in one of these rooms on an upcoming cruise?

We are currently booked in 5050 so I'm assuming your room would be just like ours and with the same view. Still trying to decide if we stay here, or move to deck 7 in a category 4c. Although now that I'm thinking of it, I'm sure we'll have to make our decision in the next few days so I guess it would be too late to see your pictures.
