DW and I are taking a weekend grown-up only trip down to DLR this weekend and have Napa Rose dinner reservations tomorrow night. We packed light and ended up with only jeans and shorts and logo (Mickey and Star Wars) shirts. I know that lands in a dress code grey area and we are unlikely to be turned away but I’m wondering how out of place we’ll feel. We’ve eaten at Carthay Circle with kids at the end of a park day (hot, sweaty, and casually dressed) and that didn’t seem too awkward but my understanding is that Napa is a bit fancier.
I could see a world where we cancel and just do GCH Craftsman Bar instead, it is another place we’re unlikely to go to with the kids. We’re not staying at GC but somehow those restaurants seem like front runners to me.

Jeans are definitely fine, shorts are probably fine (assuming they're not athletic/basketball shorts), but I'd personally feel very uncomfortable in a novelty t-shirt. If I was in your shoes, I'd swing by the gift shop and pick up a golf shirt.

You will not be denied service.

There are many people who go to Napa Rose straight from the park ... shorts, tee-shirts, ears etc. No one will give you a passing glance.
The only time I have seen anyone say anything is when someone walked in straight from the pool... so no swimwear allowed.

Jeans totally fine, shorts probably fine too. The tshirt would be fine, but as someone else said, I personally would feel a little out of place in a novelty shirt, but I doubt you would stand out... it's just how much YOU think other people are caring about you (hint, zero). lol

As Seattle natives, we’ve grown quite used to wearing just about anything to just about any tier of restaurant, so I always want to check my barometer before going somewhere nice out of town. Thank you all for the input. Ultimately, the menu wasn’t seducing us and we just let the reservation go. If any of you are interested there may be a table for two opened up at 7:30 tomorrow right now.
