Note to self: If you start a thread make sure it's a good one.
Being a first time Disney cruiser can be hard. You have to understand we are just looking for answers. Even though the question may be silly, it's still a valid question at times.
I must say that I so badly wanted to be a smart aleck when I saw the question. For one thing, I hate ambiguous titles like, "Castaway Cay". It's as bad as titles like, "What would happen if...". The smart aleck response was going to be something like, "Yeah. You have to bring your own umbrella. In fact, I'd advise bringing your own sand, because Disney charges by the cubic yard, and with Bahamas VAT added these days it's really expensive."
There are a *lot* of umbrellas. I have no idea where you'd put your own in your stateroom if you were able to bring one.
Hey has anyone ever...?
I thought you would like to know that you are coming across as a giant buffoon.
Hey has anyone ever...?
You and my wife should get together and go bowling.![]()
There are a lot of umbrellas, but if you don't get to CC early, you are likely not to get a spot under one, as people tend to put their stuff all over the shaded chairs and then decamp. We took our time getting off the ship and barely managed to get a chair at all. The family next to us had eight chairs saved and I never saw more than three of them being used at any one time.
That's where we were. :-( It was April vacation week for MA/RI, though, so we had a pretty full ship.yup- getting there early is best if possible though you can still get chairs with umbrellas though they are likely to be in the back..everyone takes the chairs and umbrellas at the near end of CC- if you walk towards the far end, near Pelican Bay, you can easily find a nice spot with an umbrella...
I find this board very tame. Hang out on the community or theme parks board and then you will truly see mean and snarky.
I guess you haven't found the threads about what poel should wear in the main dinning rooms yet. Lol
