Castles, Candy and Quartets - A Birthday to Remember!

Puff o Pooh! Thats funny, I got a Donald last vist and my neices named him fat donald. :rotfl2:

April 3 continued -
After our rest, we headed back to MK for CRT dinner. I changed our ADR a bazillion times for my birthday dinner. I could not decide where I wanted to eat. I finally decided on CRT and have been so excited to eat in the castle on my birthday for months now. Even with the changes. I personally think it's worth the money - I loved it before the changes, and I love it now. I actually think I liked it better since the changes. Food, atmosphere, and the dessert - yummy! It was fabulous. Of course we got the lithograph which is in a HUGE blue tube. So then, what do you do with that all night? We tried to get it sent to the hotel, but without a reciept, they can't guarantee it and if it's lost - too bad for me. So I didn't do that. Just carried it around. We went and watched Philharmagic which we love. Then to one of the gift shops for a necklace I wanted. Then we just kind of walked around a bit. We decided to try on of the Main Street shops for a bag big enough to hold the big blue tube. So we went into the Emporium and I asked the CM if he had a big enough bag to hold it. He said "We have a bag big enough to fit YOU in if we need to." and gave me a large bag. ;) By this time it was time to sit for Spectro so we found a spot in the middle of Main Street by a trashcan. DH went off to go "to the bathroom" and came back with the stuffed rabbit to match my Pooh characters. :lovestruc Isn't he sweet? Gotta love birthdays. During Spectro, Bashful came up to me and shook my hand, then got all shy and embarrassed. So cute. Then for Wishes we moved to a different spot. I always want to sit, and DH always wants to stand and take pictures. Since we had already seen it and he had taken plenty of pictures, he said we could watch from anywhere I wanted for my birthday. Woohoo! So we went up to the circle section by the Partners statue. It was so cool! Once you got in front of all the standing people in the middle of the road - everyone was sitting! So we sat, right in front of the castle, completely centered behind the partners statue to watch Wishes! It was the perfect spot and view and everything. Really nice! One of our favorite moments from this trip. Then we hung out, walking around and resting and taking pictures. And decided to brave the monorail. But wait - couldn't we take the hotel monorail and still get to the transportation center? Yes we could. So we did. :teeth: Thus ended my magical birthday in MK. We have one more morning before we leave....

great to catch up with your report, your birthday sounded so romantic (apart from poor DH feeling so bad). I've booked an ADR for Dinalds on our Ak morning so that we can get on EE quick. Even though there was a rope and you were walked there, was it worth doing it this way?
Thanks for the great report,
Claire xx

ABSOLUTELY! It was perfect. We walked straight onto the ride and straight onto a car. No wait.

April 4
So our final day has arrived. This is the first time we planned anything on the day we left, and we really enjoyed the added time. We have APs, so going into the park for an hour is okay. If we didn't have APs we would have eaten at a resort. So, on the 4th, we went to MK for Crystal Palace. We had to pack after the breakfast because of all the chocolate I bought at Epcot. We couldn't leave it in the car to melt before I got home! We didn't have too long of a wait and saw Goofy and some other characters playing hockey in front of the castle being filmed for something. So we watched them while we waited. Once we got inside the characters were not in our section yet, so we got food which was delicious. For my birthday, they had decorated the table with streamers and confetti. When Tigger got over he motioned to the table decorations wondering what they were for. So I told him it was my birthday and he got very excited and hugged me. Later the waitress brought me a cupcake and sang happy birthday to me. It was a yummy cupcake. She also brought me a card signed by the characters. We had managed to miss Pooh due to the timing of when we sat down. So the waitress set it up so we could go to the other side of the restaurant to get my picture with Pooh. We just had to see a certain CM (the handler) and let her know we were there. We felt pretty weird interuppting other people's time with him, and it meant I didn't get to really get any interaction - and I love Pooh. This was the first time I have seen Pooh that he hasn't kissed me! :rotfl: So it was a little sad, but we saw him and got the picture and then headed out. On Main Street, the Quartet was singing on the other side of the street. So we stopped to listen. While they were singing and I was watching, apparently one of them saw my birthday pin from across the street. Because when they finished their song, they came up to me and said "We've been looking for you. What's your name?". I said Cassie and they said "Where are you from?" and I said TN. And the guy said "Because they told us to find Cassie from TN." And they sang Happy Birthday to me on the street! Everyone was swarming in (because it was just after 9) and DH took my picture with them. It was so perfect. Then we talked for a minute and found out that two of them were from TN - one from Nashville and one of the guy's parents live in the same town we do! It's a Small World after all.... ;) So we finally headed out, sad to leave, but what a perfect way to end my trip! So we went to the monorail and DH mentioned that I should ask to sit up front since we were pretty much the only ones going AWAY from MK at that time of day. So I did, and they let me. Then we had to go back to the hotel to pack and leave. :sad2: The end. :wave2:

So, thanks for reading! Unfortunately, my memory isn't too great, so DH has informed me that I left out "lots of stuff" in his words. Although he can't tell me what - just "details" is all he will say. So, sorry for that. Some of it I remembered and felt like I was rambling if I put in too much. I guess I was wrong about that. But this was my first TR, so hopefully it was slightly interesting and the next one will be better. Thanks for reading guys! :wave2:

You did a great job with your Trip Report. What a great way to celebrate your birthday. I'm almost tempted to celebrate mine next April, I'll be a lot older, but It could be my 45th 1/2 when I am there.
