Castle Lighting from The Plaza Restaurant?

We have a dinner reservation at The Plaza on 12/29 at 7:20pm. My understanding is that the Frozen Holiday Wish castle lighting will take place at 6:15 and again at 7:30. We're trying to figure out if we should try to get to the area early to watch the early show OR if we'll be able to just see the 7:30 show from the restaurant. Can anyone help me out with a description of what the view is like from here? I think I read something once that said something about there being a "side door" you could step out through that has good view? Does that sound right? Any information would be appreciated.

No views at all from inside the Plaza.

You might be able to step outside (but it might not be a good idea, due to tying up a table during the show.)

Also, we don't know what the conditions will be for the construction walls will be in during any given time...
they could be blocking the castle from in front of the Plaza.
