Castle Inn and Suites

A co-worker has stayed there earlier this year and he said it was fine and they had no problems at all.

You can also check tripadvisor.com; type castle inn and suites in their search box for reviews.

My family and I just got back from a 4 night stay at Castle Inn and Suites. We only had one problem which was the smoke alarm beeping like its battery is low at 5 am. Told management, problem went unfixed and it beeped again at 6am the next morning. It was a loud series of beeps. Other than that, no problems, great room and well within walking distance to Disneyland.

:) It has been some many years since I stayed there but from what I can remember the rooms were decent and the walk isn't terribly far. Hope someone else can be more helpful! Or like a pp said...check tripadvisor

I stayed there in March/April for 4 nights. I thought it was fine. Our fridge was kind of noisy, but not enough that I felt like complaining. The walk was fine, I had a stroller for DD3. I actually kind of liked the walk back in the evenings because it was relaxing and peaceful. I thought the theme of the hotel was fun, and that's why I picked it. Would I stay there again? Probably not, just because I would like to get something a little closer. Next time I go, I'll be taking my younger DD and I would like to be able to take her back for naptime. I thought that Castle Inn was a tad too far for a midday break back to the room, so I didn't take DD back for naps. But that's just me.

Other comments:
There was a little convenience store in the hotel, we picked up a few things.

There was a small pool (in the middle of the parking lot) but we didn't use it. Looked like it would have been fine for a brief swim, but not somewhere that you would spend a few hours "lounging."

We stayed in '05 and had a terrible experience. The room wasn't the cleanest, and the carpets were nasty. Dirty, sticky, and lumpy. No running water the first two hours we were there. But that got fixed.

We stayed for 5 nights, and 4 of the days we had NO TV. The cable was out, and we were told they were "working on it". We asked to speak to a manager many times. She was never in, and we were told she would contact us. Never did. There were other people complaining that week in the office as well.

We'll never stay there again. We had a nice stay there back in '96, when we first got married. But feel it's really gone down hill since. Much better places to stay around the area IMO.

We stayed 4 nights last October and it was fine. It is nothing fancy, but you can walk to the park, and there are restaurants nearby. They even have a little store there to by drinks/snacks. Also it was only $38 a night through our military base so can't complain there!

Someone on tripadvisor or another site wrote that there were bedbugs when they stayed there in July. That was enough for us to decide to not book it.

I saw that post! Lucily we got into Hojos last minute. Mahalo (Thanks) for all of your responses!

Just say NO!

We stayed in December '05 and it was gross. The carpets were actually sticky and visibly dirty. The shower was dirty and the staff very rude. It took 5 calls, me finally walking to the front desk and 48 hours to get another pillow!!?? The walls are paper thin....I mean gnarly thin.

Just thinking about that stay gives me the heebie jeebies:sad2:
