We are finally back from our Disneyland trip. Got in late last night so I just now have time to post updates.
We reserved the family suite at the Castle Inn and Suites for 5 nights.
I read a few older posts here on the disboards and also on Tripadvisor.
Tripadvisor had a few good/positive reviews so I didnt feel to bad about our arrangements.
When we got there I was pleasantly surpised. Cute little property that resembles a castle. Driving in thru the driveway it did look dated but I wasnt expecting a 4 star resort.
Driveway was clean. Check in was effortless.
We had suite/room 459.
The front room had a small dinette table with 2 chairs, a Queen bed with 2 side tables and a fridge and microwave. The room also had a 32" tv sitting inside a bureau with drawers for clothing as well as space for the food we brought.
The center of the room had a common bathroom with shower and tub and sink area. Outside of the bathroom was a large closet with glass sliding doors.
The back room (with a door that closes to front room) had 2 Queen beds, a sink area with large vanity and chair. Room had a 32" tv inside a bureau with drawers for clothing. The back room had large enough space to include a rollaway bed (but the hotel does not allow rollaways in suites) but we had a twin air bed my 8 year old DD likes to sleep on.
Floors were clean. I checked the bottom of our feet. LOL Baseboards were clean as well as the walls and bed and bedding.
When we walked in initially for the first time there were 2 large towel Swans and 3 baby towel swans in the bathroom. Cute little touch.
Each day we had more than enough towels and the housekeepers always kept our room clean with the kids blankets folded and coats (it was cold) hung up in the closet.
There were no signs of ants, bugs, etc even with fruit, candy, chips, etc in the room.
I recommend this hotel. The only drawback was no shuttle to or from the parks since it's considered too close. May be a problem for those that cannot walk the approximate 5-10 minutes (depends on lights and how brisk you walk).
