Sorry, my mistake. I got the wrong end of the stick didn't I?!

We've been in the last week of August in 2005. In fact it was over the August Bank Holiday weekend and it was fine. The weather was gorgeous and the crowd levels in the parks were busy but tolerable. In fact I'd go so far as to say that, to date, that visit is our best ever trip to any Disney park with the kids. I've got some lovely memories. The trip the following year was good but this one was better!

2005 was the year we had a Tinker Belle Suite in the Disneyland Hotel and an interconnecting room for just the 4 of us. Gosh it was palatial!

You can see photos of that trip here: http://www.haighgannon.com/dlp_aug05_photo/index.html

The Castle Club lounge is positively the best place to watch Wishes from but, yes, for that reason it can get a little crowded so it's worth turning up in good time to grab a spot. There are plenty of windows to watch from but there are also 3 balconies - this is the best vantage point!

aww well it wont be untill next yr but still its exciting.

Can anyone tell me- how far in advance you can book CC? Is it adviseable to book early? not of when we will be going yet-i'm thinking of September as we dont want to go when its too busy but if we're CC it would be nice to go while theres fireworks on.

You can always make a pre booking. The definitive booking will be available as soon as Disney announces the prices for the new season.

Aww thats interesting- do they contact you when they are available then? i could that aug/sept

The Castle Club is available to book any time in advance but it's always wise to book as soon as you know you want to go! Don't leave it because it fills up pretty quick. Put it this way, in December '07 I booked our next trip August '08 and they were already filling up.

when I booked for our last trip I could not book untill a week after the prices for the standard rooms were released.

I am waiting to book for September 2008 for 5 nights in CC with park view, is it worth calling them now.

Do you have to pay a deposit to do this or just when the prices are released?

Yes, I would call them today! I would be stunned if you cannot making a booking now for Sept. As I said before, I was able to making a booking back in December for August.

Bare in mind that they only have 3 rooms in the Castle Club that have a view of the Disneyland Park and they are very popular.

sorry I meant 2009 not 2008.

We stayed garden view last time and I now have my heart set on Park View, which is the reason I decided against the Tinkerbelle suite.

Thanks for the info- i might have a look at some other trip reports too- just abit confused when to go really- as it would be wonderful to see the fireworks and i guess we'd get the end of all the summer stuff- but for some reason i really want to go in sept :confused3 i guess just a view of the park with no fireworks would be just as wonderful.

I was starting to wonder then- as the standard prices have been out for ages- we may be there at the same time

If cost is under careful consideration then I'd go in September because it would be cheaper and less crowded.

We had a Park View room in January and it was wonderful.

I really need to sort out a CC room for next year, even if its just for one night.

Is it possible to book a CC room for 1 night then stay in a standard room for the rest?

We were there at the same time ~ on our very first trip to DLRP! :dance3:

However, my Wishes photos are nothing like yours! :sad1: :rotfl: Yours are truly amazing. :thumbsup2

It's not so much the cost but the relaxation- as we really over did it last time on our nye trip -we were that tired by the fourth/last day that all we felt like going was sitting in the hotel bar waiting for the eurostar. But we were getting up at 7am and not going to bed untill 11/12 So we have decided to make our next trip more like our first trip in which we we went for 6days and had a day in paris and went during a time it wasnt so busy - so just want it to be abit more relaxed really- so i'm not abit unsure about Aug with it being the end of summer holidays BUT on the otherhand being able to watch wishes in CC would really be lovely :confused3 hummm i guess i have a while to decide tho. Either way i def think CC is must as we may have something to celebrate may then :wizard:

This is what i'm planning one or two nights at CC and then 4nights at NY hotel as a standard room at DLH would cost too much. But i have had my eye on NY hotel for a while and i'm really looking forward to staying there -so both NY and CC will be exciting.

I need to stay there now lol.

I think the last price i got quoted for CC was like £3,000 for 2nights and 3 days..i nearly had a heart attack lol.

I feel ill. It was so much money for 2 nights but hubby wanted to stay in nice place for our 15th wedding anniversary. I hope it will be worth it and ok. We had annual passes last year and went 7 times with our 4 kids but this time we are going by ourselves.

Hi di$neyf@n, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

How on earth have you managed to escape without your children?!! ;) :rotfl2:
I'm sure it will be well worth the money and you will have a lovely romantic time.

We are going to find someone to stay with the kids for 3 days. I have 4 months to line it up. I already have a back up couple with 1 child who can watch them if all else fails. The last time we had 2 babysitters back out at the last minute for a 1 night trip to Amsterdamn so i am really hoping it will go alright this time. Worse comes to worse we would have to take the kids and get them a room.

I see your an Exploers fan. We stayed there a bunch too. It's great to be together when you have 6 people in our family and the prices are so good.

We went to DLP 7 times in 2007. I would live there if they let me. I love it so much!
