Castle Ceremony

We're talking a Swan Boat Landing ceremony, not a Castle ceremony! That clears it up a little! I remember back when I got married, the price for getting married in front of the castle was half a million. Then it got reduced dramatically to a much more reasonable $28,000 for the site rental. However, I haven't heard of a wedding actually at the castle in years, and wasn't sure they even allowed them anymore now that you can use Swan Boat Landing. Sorry, I misunderstood and was very confused!

Regardless, I can't wait to hear about how everything shapes up and follow your planning journal. We don't get the treat of following along with a MK bride very often!

Actually, it won't be the landing due to the construction for the new Fantasyland. My rep says he's not quite sure where yet. Sorry for the confusion

How exciting! I hope with the construction they find something else very special for you, maybe in the Rose Garden or closer to the Castle. Either way, it will be amazing for your guests to be driven up Main Street before the park opens. How silly that you can't have the carriage, in MK of all places!

I was thinking the same thing, the Rose Garden would be stunning! Ooo, I can't wait to hear where they put you!

That would be pretty! I am not worried, he assured me it would be as close if not closer. I was trying to reply to both of the postings about the garden but I don't know how to do that. Some help please

I am having my ceremony there April 24th this year just got confirmed with Joe from DFTW.. I had 2 wait a couple of days 4 my date 2 b confirmed.. I hope u get ur date soon!

Joe is my contact too! I gave him a date range of October 2012-April 2013. Since they can only give you dates 1 year in advance, I am anxiously awaiting The Magic Kingdom contact has already rejected October-January. It's funny because even before I heard no to any of those months I had a gut feeling it would be February. Then last night I had a dream that I got an email and was offered February 4. I guess I will just wait and see if my gut and dream are right. I am excited that there is another bride getting married at the castle! You are the first one I have found on the blog. Are you going to do a PJ? Have you made any other plans yet?

About 2 months before our wedding there was a "special" posted or emailed from somewhere that the castle wedding site could've had for~12G, so I guess that's still on.

i started a PJ... check out the bottom of my signature next 2 my 1st wedding pic, it is the link 2 my PJ... it is a bit all over the place since i orginally started out with the wedding pavilion then things started to change from there... my pre-reception is at sago cay pointe at the grand floridian & my reception is at the their ballroom, then my dessert party is scheduled for uk at epcot but might change 2 a different location.. congrats on ur BIG day!

I found your PJ but it took me a second to catch up and figure out where your plan changed I am so excited that I will have someone else who has done the same thing as me, hope I can learn from your experience It's funny cause my name is Michelle too and i'm a nurse Well technically now I teach nursing but I used to be an ICU burn nurse. Looking forward to more details and pics1!!!
