I am planning on taking my daughter to the Castle if we can get in next January. What characters are there for either breakfast or lunch. Thank you.

We did lunch. The characters were a variety of princesses -- Cinderella, Jasmine, Snow White, Fairy Godmother (may have been more). I personally think the food at lunch is better than the food at breakfast. The major domo pie was AWESOME!!! I'd go back just for that alone!

I say lunch, but I fundamentally have an issue with paying those type of prices for eggs.............

I think the characters are pretty much the same...

We've been for breakfast multiple times, but I agree about the price now being too high for eggs & breads.

So we're trying out the lunch instead.

At lunch, you get to order off a menu, so there are more choices. At breakfast, it's an all-you-can-eat family-style meal. I recommend checking out the menus and choosing whichever one appeals more to you.:)

Are you referring to Cinderella Castle, or the Castle in Norway? I think that they have different characters. Take a look at allears.net to see both of the menus, and a listing of characters for each castle.

Breakfast! We did it in November and are going back in May. I can't believe I'm paying over $40 for granola, but it's so good I don't care!!! It was one of my favorite breakfasts of our trip. The character interaction is ok, but you're in the castle! :lovestruc

Yes - I am talking about Cinderellas Castle we did Norway our last trip which was very good. I do think the Castle is alot of money but our daughter wants to go to the Castle. We plan on doing the BBB first and then go to lunch if I can work out the schedule. My husband and son will do a guy thing when we are doing this and that way we do not have to pay for them. Our daughter is turning 8 this week so I am guessing this might be the last year that she is really into the princesses. Thanks for everyones help.

of seeing any particular character is about the same for breakfast or lunch. I would choose based on dining and touring habits.

The descriptions for characters is princesses or leading ladies. Two visits ago we had Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty and the Fairy Godmother at CRT and, of course Cinderella in the lobby. Last time it was Snow White and Belle again with Mary Poppins and Alice.

I'll also second the Major Domo's Favorite Pie endorsement. I've sampled three of the lunch entrees and that's my favorite.

I would suggest breakfast. You get a ton of food, multiple choices. I definitely think it was worth the price, its not just eggs. And I've heard from a bunch of people that breakfast is much better than lunch. For me, I looked at the lunch menu and nothing really appealed. Plus, you get so much food for breakfast, it was one of my favorite meals the entire trip.

We did CRT for breakfast in Jan 09. The princesses were Alice in wonderland, Jasmine, Snow White and Aurora. I want to add that my husband is the most picky eater I have ever known. I was nervious that he would not enjoy the food and i would have to hear about his disappointment the whole trip. It was a total opposite. We were really impressed with the food, it was 100% better than I could have every imagined. I say you try breakfast.

There is a way to get into the park a little early if you do breakfast just right. that is what we are going to try to do!

Our Plan is to do the BBB and then do lunch, I thought this would be easier. That way we do not have to get up real early. Our whole family are not big breakfast eaters so I thought lunch would be nice. We usually just eat cereal or fruit. My kids before they go to school have either dry cereal or with milk and maybe a granola bar. I am sure this is my fault as I have never been big on breakfast. Luckily, we eat well the rest of the day. Anyway, we will see what is open in January. We are also planning on going into the park to Crystal Palace at opening. We did this last time and all loved being in the park without anyone else. It was great to walk down main street with only a handful of people. The character meal was also really good. Thanks again!

Yes, you can get in early as that's what we did when we did breakfast at CRT, and it's a neat way to walk down main street without alot of people, great way to start the day.
