We were there today, and DD (age 8) and I were a little underwhelmed by it. We both love the sparkling shingles, but the "diamonds" are definitely lacking Disney magic, IMO. I really hope it isn't done!

Any idea how long the 60th being will last? I don't know if we will make it out there in 2015. Will the 60th decorations possibly stay up for a year?

I haven't seen any changes to Carthay yet. The 60th is supposed to last until July 2016

It is amazing how things look so much nicer at DL than at WDW for special celebrations. This looks great so far.

I was at the park yesterday and was disappointed at first with the castle...but then later in the day, the sun hit it just right and it literally sparkled like diamonds...it was amazing.
I'm excited to see what they're going to do with the clear turret tops...some kind of lighting at night/fireworks/parade, I'm guessing. Can't wait!

This is a neat up close video of the decorations. I didn't realize the roof shingles were covered in little diamonds. I just thought it was all glitter
