Casting for a Travel Channel/Disney Special

I am one of those people that is really sceptical. But I went ahead and sent an email. Like what was previously said, they can say no (which is my luck).

We applied! Hey, why not?! Who could pass the potential for another trip?!

I sent an email as well. I'd pretty much have to cancel my life if they want it the first 2 weeks in June, but hey! We'll see if they pick me and worry about it later.

We applied also and they have contacted us for more information. I sent additional photos, good thing my kids and my husband are cute! We will see what happens. . . This would be really neat, and the past couple of months have been tough (we were duped by a local contractor who took thousands from us and our friends. . .). Good luck to everyone!

We applied over the weekend and heard back yesterday-- nothing more since I sent the additional photos though, I keep checking my voice mail and email!! We would not be considered diverse, so I am sure that will lower our chances. It would be fun to do, but I am not holding my breath!! If it happens, it happens.

Thanks for the info. We probably wouldn't be considered diverse either. Our only diverse aspect would be that my kids speak Spanish. Oh, well....we'll all have to wait and see what happens.

I have a feeling we would known already, afterall they are looking at shoot dates that are just 10-24 days from now!!!

Like I said, I am not holding my breath, but it would be fun!

My guess would be that your payment would be (and likely may be limited to only this payment by contract) a DVC membership at the expense of Disney and the network. Hence the reason it would only interest those favoring future visits to WDW.

I'm only guessing, though.

I didn't post to this thread earlier because I am so superstitious about talking about stuff that I really want to happen that hasn't happened yet.

I sent an email early this week and got a call the next day. They loved our story and wanted to let us know we were being considered. I didn't get that phone call it went to voice mail as most calls to me go LOL. Anyway she called again the next day. I answered the phone and got a big shock. She asked me some questions, we talked and seemed to have a really good rapport between us. She said she'd keep me posted. Got a call the next day asking if we could make a little video of our family and detail some of our experiences with DVC and what we like about it. We made that and emailed it. Got a response the next day that she loved it and thanks for our efforts and she'd get back to us when she knew more. This morning I checked my email and found out that they would like to feature our family on the special!!! She gave us a tentative date and some details, asked about our flexibility etc etc.

The girls are going to freak out!!!
