We have only been on 1 previous Disney Cruise but I remember after CC day the sand and mess and all 4 of us trying to shower and clean up at the same time.

Does CC have a bathroom/changing room with showers? Could DH and DS go shower and change in mens room and DD and I do the same in womens room and then arrive back on the ship all showered and ready? This seems like the way to go if it's an option. Anyone?

Thanks!

Sonya,

I am not sure if there are any closer to the ship, but there were changing rooms/restrooms towards the far end of the family beach at CC. They were close to, but not quite as far as the bike rental area. They were just adjacent to the beach area. They had outside showers for everyone to rinse off the salt water and the sand. We took advantage of them. We walked back to the Magic on the sidewalk/pathway to avoid more "sandy" moments. I hope this is helpful. We go back in just 88 days! Can't wait! Enjoy and take care.

So, I guess you are showering with your suit on which is Ok I guess. Could you shampoo hair and stuff? Then go inside and change?

Does anybody know about any facilities closer to the family beach?

According to my map, there are three restroom areas in the family beach area and all are with outside showers according to the map key. One is near first aid an the tram loop.

We took advantage of the outside showers. We were in a huge line to use them and I saw no one shampooing their hair. When 25 people are waiting for their turn to rinse off sand, I know how I would have felt if someone stopped to shampoo. The showers were a little gross, the water pressure was zilch and they were filled with sand. However this was at the end of the day, maybe earlier, with no line and a cleaner shower, a shampoo would be possible. It did cut down on the sand in the cabin bathroom. I didn't go inside the attached bathroom, hopefully they are cleaner than the San Diego beach restrooms.

Thank you lespaul. That was just the info I was looking for. It sounds like just a place to rinse and then head back to the cabin for showers. Too bad, I liked the idea of being cleaned off before returning to the ship.

Thanks all!

The attached bathrooms were in great shape (clean and stocked) in true Disney style. I would have to agree, the outdoor showers are for major rinsing off, not for washing hair, etc. There was not much of a line (if any) when we used them, it was at the end of the day and we were at the far end of the family beach. I would tend to think the ones closer to the ship were more crowded. Word of warning, I seem to remember the water being really cold.
