I know lots of you are repeat cruisers. We will be this Feb. What are the perks of the Castaway Club?

Special gift on repeat cruise
DCL website area dedicated to CC members
Dedicated embarcation line to board ship

Now you get to book spa, palo, & kid's club online at 90 days out instead of 75 for first timers.

Sorry, but I wanted to clarify. I had thought there was a separate line for "checking in" at the Port for Castaway Club members, but I wasn't aware there was a separate line for Castaway Members to actually board the ship. Is this true or did I misread?

I have a different question. Do any of you know what night the Captain's reception is on the 7 day Western? Thanks, CC members!

There is no separate line to board the ship. If there was it would most likely be the longest line!

There is a separate check-in area (but if the line is long there you can check in anywhere).

The separate line for boarding is for handicapped and Concierge guests (those in Cat's 1, 2, and 3).

On our Western 12/4/04 the CC reception was on Tuesday before main dining.

yes, they use to have a separate check in line but then there were more members than first time guests so there was no "perk" to doing that anymore...

After our first DC in 2003, literally two days later I called with questions. I was given our CC number at that time. Then a few weeks later our cards came in the mail.

When we got in line there was noone else in the CC line but the other line was long. It was nice to just walk right up. :)

Isn't THAT the truth! :flower:
Thank you for completely ironing out the info.

and thanks to WDWLVR for offering her insights on handicapped boarding.

Thank you. That is exactly what I had thought, but the previous poster I quoted specifically stated "separate embarkation line", which is the queue to get on the ship. I thought maybe it was a new "perk", but like you said that line would be HUGE! Thank you again for clarifying for me. :-)

I called within a week of our DC this past month and was also given our CC number. But the CM I talked to said they weren't sending out cards anymore.

You are one of the lucky ones....if you took a poll here I bet you would find that most did not ever receive their cards...even after numerous phone calls to DCL.

You actually do not need the card at all...just the number but I guess folks like to have the physical card.....

Yeah I know ....but what is really funny.... I haven't clue where I put the suckers. :rotfl2:

It is pretty much the same as the regular DCL site. You can just sign on with your CC number.

One benefit that has not been mentioned is the Castaway Club cocktail party on board.
