Well, I just checked the home page for the DCL site and they no longer have a place for CC members to sign in. I'll take the online registration for the cruise over that though. It really didn't have anything different on it. You don't get discounts for being a member. You do get a different 800# to call for reservations & questions though.

I'm so glad you did this, I started questioning my sanity, since I could never find anything on the site for this. Although I did see where you could update your profile and put the number in.
I don't know if someone has mentioned it already but there is a special Captain's reception for repeat cruisers on the 7-day cruises. It is typically given on a day-at-sea at about 5 pm at Rockin Bar D. They serve drinks and hors d'oeurves. The Captain comes to speak and thanks everyone for being loyal cruisers on Disney. He asks everyone where they would like to cruise next (usual answers are: Alaska, Hawaii and Mediterranean).
There is a gift left in the stateroom. We've gotten blankets each time (first was for the special Antigua cruise and the other was for the West Coast cruise).
My Castaway Club card implies that there is a dedicated line for repeat cruises but I have my doubts. I think they are the same people who answer at DCL reservations. My card came about two months after our first cruise in 2003. My other family members did not get any cards.
The dedicated line at the terminal is at check-in, not at boarding.
Hope this info helps. IMO, there is really not much benefit but DCL does try to make repeat cruisers "special"...I guess so you'll continue cruising with them over and over.
We have been on 5 cruises since 2001. We only just now got our Castaway Club card. It was in a mailing called Shoreside Survival Kit with a CD of music in it. Has everyone been getting this? The first thing on the CD is the Horn!
Our latest cruise was just 6/16/05. We booked this one thru DU for the 1st time. And finally got Castaway Club cards. I wonder if DU put me on the right mailing list?? Or maybe a coincidence. There seems to be no pattern as to who gets cards and who does not.
My card does give me a "exclusive toll free reservation & information line."
I lost my card, again. I have had it for 3 years now and it disappears and reappears every so often. I have never received the cd so that makes me sad.
We cruised in late June and got a really nice beach type bag. It has one backpack type strap and two handles. It drawstrings closed but opens so it looks like a canister. White with the DCL logo in blue and red. Also has small side pockets. We ended up using it on CC so it came in really handy.
I believe that as CC member you can make reservations for Palo, excursions and others at 90 days (if paid in full) not 75 as for first timers. That is why you have a profile on the web site. But I have been wrong before. Anyone know for sure?
You also get the mailings. I have recieved three so far.
Lisa, I thought you meant on here. I have been on the DCL site and put in my CC#. I am glad that was cleared up.

I have been a CC member since 1998 and cruised DCL 13 times.... and have never, ever received any of the mailing sent out by DCL (CD, recipes, etc).....so I would not count the mailings as one of the regular perks....because they are sent to some and not others.
One nice perk is that there is a separate phone number for reservations and questions that tends not to be overloaded and therefore you're not on hold.
P.S. We never got a card. We know our number and you can create your "Profile" on the website after getting a login and you can put your CC# on your profile.
