What is the Castaway Club? Are there benefits to being a member? Can you only join on a cruise or can you join before you arrive?

You automatically become a member of the Castaway Club after your first cruise. If you book another Disney cruise, you will receive a gift in your stateroom and an invitation to a reception with the Captain on the next cruise. If you book your next cruise while onboard the ship, you will receive shipboard credit (amount depends on the length of your cruise). The only way to receive the shipboard credit is to book the cruise while on the ship.
