Okay, thought I had posted it already, but apparently it didn't "take."

We are just back from the Wonder, but I am curious about the Castaway Club. When and what do you get that tells you that you are now a member of the Castaway Club? TIA for your responses!

About six weeks after returning, we rec'd a CC card, letter, and I think a small promo brochure. I've read where many 1st time cruiser didn't receive anything, but were still a CC member for future cruises.

We received nothing, but when I booked our second cruise we were already in the computer and got our perks, such that they are.

We cruised at the end of August of this year and a few weeks later we received a little packet in the mail called the "Shoreside Survival Kit" that contained our Castaway Club cards, a CD with tropical/caribbean music (plus the sound of the ship's horn), and a "thank you for sailing with us" letter. My card and my DH's card came together in one kit, DS's kit came separately, but both arrived on the same day. DH and I still like to pop that CD in while we're driving, it's great music and definitely reminds us of the cruise :boat: :sunny:

Gee I sailed with my family on the 9/2 Wonder and we've yet to get anything ... I called DCL and got my and my son's Castaway Club # ... told the gal we hadn't rec'd anything thing ... she said it would take a month ... but it had already been 2 months when I called ... guess we're not going to get anything :)

I wonder why they send them out to some people and not to others. :confused3 They really should send them to everyone; it was a nice little surprise the day they arrived in the mail.

Think this could have anything to do with how you book your travel? ie direct with DCL versus a TA?

I recieved a cc card but that was it. DH & GS didn't recieve anything.

I'm not sure. We booked through All Seasons Travel (a TA), not directly through DCL. Mine and DH's cards came together in one packet, DSs card came in a second packet.
