Is the Castaway Club Check-In Line at the Terminal really faster and/or shorter? I would think that it wouldn't be since there are 3 levels of CC membership, and all can access that line. What is it really like in reality? Is it really a better option? If you find the non member line is shorter, CC members can use that too, no?

Its a mix and depends when you get there. I have used all of them and I am platinum. The only issue I have encountered is they do not always have my lanyard color available so I have to go elsewhere to get it.

You can use either line. Seems like we've had the same experience as poohs, just depends. The lines seem not so long in any event, a fairly meaningless Castaway Club perk. But you might get lucky, just take a look and decide on the spot.

Just a clarification. At Port Canaveral and New York (not sure at other ports) the regular CC line has only two levels, silver and gold. Platinum checks in with Concierge on a separate line. Of course Platinum could check in on the regular CC line but the Concierge line is usually shorter.

For silver and gold you have to just scan the line quickly to decide if it is worth it to get on the CC line or the general line.

The concierge line is usually shorter but at times we have found it takes longer! They spend more time with each customer, making the wait seem longer. And of course way fewer stations. But, again, we don't mind waiting in any lines at embarkation, when you're finished checking in it becomes a waiting game for the boarding to begin. Stand in line or stand in there terminal, all the same. If you come later after the boarding has started, there aren't any lines and it doesn't matter.

We sailed out of Port Canaveral last Sept and there was a CM directing you to the shortest line if you were a Castaway Club member.
At the time we arrived, the regular check in line was shorter.

For some reason, I was under the impression that lanyards were placed in your stateroom along with the CC gift. I take it that that's not the case, and they're given to you at port check in?

yup. they hand them out when you get your KTTW as appropriate

I have taken 8 DCLs. I have been in the CC line when is was both longer and shorter that the other line.
