I love a hot beach day, but it is starting to really look like my Castaway Cay day will not hit 80. Has anyone been there this time of year/had these kinds of temps?

70 makes me think I'll need a long sleeve shirt on the beach - hoping I am wrong!

We've been in January when it was 70. If the sun is out it's quite nice and feels warmer than you'd think. The water was chilly though, and if it's windy you will feel cold if wet.

We've been in January 2x and December once and it was low 70s at best. When the sun was out it was ok, but when it was overcast it was chilly. Water very cold but of course didn't scare some youngsters away.
Best beach weather we had at CC was late May and mid October.

If you are talking March though should be mid 70s... still hit and miss but better than January

A sunny day in the 70's on CC is a perfect day for us Floridians!!! I will tell you the sun will still be hot, the breeze keeps it a little crisp, but so enjoyable.
We are in South Florida, this is our usual winter weather and we long for it!

70 and sunny will feel warm. The water may still be cool this time of year, but it will feel nice on land.

I can totally understand that since June to October are just yucky in FL. But living where we have much cooler winters, if I'm going to take a vacation south I want hot in the 80's ;) Florida and Bahamas are too cool for us because we want a hot beach day too :)
Last 2 years cruising out of Port Canaveral in January we were freezing, it was only high of 55. Got up to maybe 68-70 in the Bahamas. It wasn't until we got to St.Thomas that we got the weather we wanted.
For us Florida has perfect weather in May and October... around low to mid 80s not yet super humid.. love it.
But we don't often cruise then because we have close to those temps at home too....
Sunny day in the low 70's will be very warm on CC - just may not be hot enough if you are looking for hot hot..

You are lucky if you get mid to high 70's in Florida in May. More like 80-85. We live on the gulf coast and a day in May with a high below 80 is rare for us.

Sorry I meant low to mid 80's, but less humid. That's what we had a few times in May.
October we had a little cooler.
My parents own a house on the Gulf Coast!
