Castaway Cay-???s

Watching the Disney Cruise DVD, planning our trip next year. Would like to know what are the extra costs while at Castaway Cay? Meals, stingray encounter, paddle boats, etc. What will
Cost on the island?

Food is free. Stingrays,snorkeling,parasailing all costs extra.

Pelican Plunge? Included.

I did Pelican Plunge over and over at no cost!

At the beginning of the day there was a short line (10 minutes, maybe) By afternoon, no line at all.

I find it easiest to think of Castaway Cay as an extension of the ship. Things that are "included" on the ship, like food and sodas, fruit juice, tap water are included at Castaway. Things that cost on the ship like alcohol and specialty beverages, cans of soda, and bottled water will cost on Castaway as well....and anything you have to book as an excursion has a cost.

however, DCL is not out to gouge you too badly. If you bring your own snorkel equipment, you can use the snorkel lagoon free...and the required vest is free. They were completely fair with us when we had a morning excursion "moved" to the afternoon due to bad weather in the morning. We had other plans for the afternoon, and they allowed us to cancel rather than move to the afternoon time.
