Castaway Cary questions

Thanks for the report @UNDDisney. We've never tried the first family beach and should at least have a look at it next time.

I did the 5k last time then went back on the ship to get my youngest. We arrived at the 2nd family beach around 11 and still snagged two loungers with an umbrella. She played in the sand and water until lunch time. After lunch we rested for a bit and then a friend of her's from the Edge came along. By 2pm the beach was nearly deserted and they had so much fun playing on all the floats that people had left.

We didn't leave until nearly the last call. It was beautiful.

Just wanted to clarify one thing. There are virtually unlimited numbers of "chairs." There is a stack of them off to the side and you can drag them where-ever you wish. However if you want a reclining chair or "lounger" those are limited in number. I have sometimes read here that those too are easy to get at various times of day, but on our August cruise, we were off the ship before 9:30 and ALL of the loungers were reserved with towels and books (though many were not in use by people). Indeed it was hard to even find a bit of shade to park some of the regular chairs in. So I would say if you want lounge chairs (or heaven forbid, a hammock) you might need to get off early.
