Hi

I was listing to the padcast today. They were you where talking about how much Disney helps.

I have been to the World 2 time now, I have a lot of problems, I try and make sure I do not need help, mainly by having a longer trip that you would nominally have for was we do, and only being out is about 2 to 3 blocks, and using ECV, and the GAC.

I have found the Cast Members very good, and it is the main resume why we will be back, I just need to sort out the insurance it is a lot because I have had problem on both planes and in the US.

you get the standard thing like stopping rides and help me on and off rides, and find places for me to rest after being on rides, it can take me 5 to 10 minutes after I get off the ride, before I am in a fit state to go anywhere.

On my 1st trip, this I think I was the 1st person, to get the EMTs to a person after coming off Everest (about 3pm on the open day), I had a fit on the ride, and 2 more with in 10 minutes after getting off the ride. once the EMTs said all I was OK, They got my wife and me plus 2 ecv back to our room, Disney had to call the EMT because there was noway to get me to the first aid room.

I have had other problems at other times, We have founding asking for help from a Cast Member, they are more then happy to help, and they help with a smile, and unlike other places we find they will talk to one another, so if we have problem at a park or an hotel, they have told the hotel we are staying at so they check we get to our room ok.

We had our Wedding on 'I drive' they helped us with our pics so we could get everyone in, and very nice to us, and may it a part of the day we will not forget. and this is the Cast Member we will all ways remember.

it did not let me post the pics, But his name is Josip... and he was in All Stars Movies, his arm is over the end of his name

Disney would not be the same with out them, they must have a very long and hard day, and I would love to thank them all.

Thank you for posting your good experences!!

It sounds as if you face great challenges to visit WDW and enjoy many of the rides and experiences that I take for granted. I admire your courage for posting, and really appreciate you sharing your first-hand experience.

It is relatively easy for companies to dictate policies for the differently abled, but much harder to dictate the values of respect and kindness. I am happy to hear you have found both. pixiedust:

I have found a very good travel agents here in the UK, which mainly does Disney.

She know most of my problems, and she works out who we need to tell and want we need to tell them.

If we have any questions she know who to ask.

She manage to make our wedding go without any big problem, sorting out how to get them there at the right time, 4 of us had medical problems.

but want every you plan or get people to help you with, at the end of the day at Disney it is down to the Cast Members to make the holiday.

Up at the World they have never let us down.

Shout out to the Disney EMT's from a NYC Paramedic...I'm sure they must get very busy during those long hot summer days!:woohoo:

Yes, they must, they call for me mainly because they was no way for me to get to the first aid room.

They checked me over, and said want I new, that I needed rest.
