I have two 1 day PH tickets that I received when I was a CM at the Disney Store. Can these tickets be used to upgrade to a longer ticket? We always go for at least 8 days so as nice as the ticket is to have it doesn't really "save" me any money by itself since the extra days after 5 are so cheap. (Although if I can't I'm still debating a short trip all by myself this fall :rotfl:)

When did you get the ticket, and was it free? Pre-MYW (pre-2005) tickets can't be upgraded or modified, and complimentary tickets can't be upgraded.

I'm not sure about CM tickets, but I found this on Cheshire Figment's sticky (bold is mine):

E. I have a special ticket I would like to upgrade. Can this be done?

The only upgrades that can be done are to regular or Florida Resident MYW tickets, or Annual Passes to a higher level of Annual Pass.

Special Tickets include Touch of Magic, YES (Youth/Educational/Sport) Program, used or unused Special Event Tickets (MNNSHP, MVMCP, PPP, NoJ) after the date of the event, any ticket that includes the word “comp” or “complimentary” on it, and any tickets that are not sold at the Park Gates cannot be upgraded or modified in any way. The last group also includes convention tickets and the Ultimate Park Hopper tickets not sold in the US or Canada.

It doesn't address CM tickets specifically - they might have different rules. Cheshire Figment is a CM, so he'll know the answer if he sees your thread.

I think I answerd this for you on another board here :goodvibes but here goes again.. in the event you did not see it.. if they are comp tkts they have no value so they cannot be upgraded. Only time you can upgrade is when a tkt has "value".. comps are free.. they have no cash value.. sorry...but you can always purchase what you want & still use what you have.. :goodvibes

I really appreciate the answer:) Not what I was hoping for...but glad I know now.

you are welcome.. sorry to be the messenger with the bad news... look at it this way, at least you have something comp'd! Check to see if they have an expiration date on them. I know the last set of comp tkts I had (years ago) did..

You can always save them for a short trip in the future. You don't get much of a discount on the first three days, so you could use them for a 1, 2, or 3 day trip and still get a good value out of them.

They do have an expiration of 06/10/2010. The problem for us is that Florida is far enough way that we don't do short trips. I would love to take DD for her birthday but DH doesn't have vacation and although a trip without him doesn't bother me I don't think it's fair to be away on her birthday.

I live very close to WDW & started taking my kids without DH very early on. In fact, we started going for their birthdays without him :guilty: Yes, I am quilty of it. Are you still working for Disney where you will get more comp tkts? If so, you can always save them and that way you will have at least 4 of them by the time you come. You can see if DD has a friend (not sure how old) that is allowed to come & give the comp tkts to them to off-set their expenses. I know I would take my mom, I live in South Fl & she lived in North Fl. We had Seasonal Passes & she didn't. So I just gave my mom the comps. Maybe you have a family member you can take with you instead of DH & they can use the comps? If worse came to worse, you could just use them and purchase the extra days.. I do year ya about a short trip, it isn't worth it for you.
