Cast Member event in November?

Kenny the Pirate has Monday, November 5th listed as a possible Cast Member event with the Magic Kingdom closing at 4:30pm. Does anyone know what this could be or how accurate this is? It will change my plans for that day if MK is closing early.

This would actually be a good day to visit MK, as the short hours will deter a lot of people from visiting the park. Same as what happens during party days.

No, but this past November 30th MK closed at 4:30 for a CM MVMCP, and the park was very uncrowded. Stay until the CM event starts, and then hop elsewhere

Yes, I currently have us starting at a different park in the morning and hopping to MK in the evening, but will reverse those plans if it's closing early.

Great day to do MK, some of the lowest crowds you’ll find there nowadays. I’m hoping they do the CM Xmas party again while I’m there next year, loved it.

11/30/17 was a CM MVMCP and MK closed at 4:30. It was a Thursday. Lowest crowds we saw during our whole 2 weeks

That explains why I didn't get an invitation. That was the 2017 version of the event that's taking place on the Nov 5th this year. It's much better than a MVMCP.

In 2016, the CM Service Celebration was the Thursday before Thanksgiving (MK closed at 4:30) -- crowds at MK were incredibly light, even lighter than that Tuesday with a MVMCP early closing. It was such a great day to be there! (although my non-FL CM husband was envious that his service celebrations aren't nearly as exciting)

So this falls in the window of when my next trip. I have scheduled my MK day the Sunday before and now I am debating on if I should switch it to Monday. The problem I have of doing this is we don't get park hoppers and I am going with a first time visit person at Disney. Will he be missing the evening festivities for his first trip to the Magic Kingdom? But will we be able to do more attractions if we go on Monday? Thoughts? Opinions?

I switched my days but we break up our days. We do an AM park, midday break and then hop to a different park in the PM after our break.

I had us going to Epcot in the AM of 11/5 and MK in the AM of 11/7. I swapped those two mornings. I usually never change my days to coincide with crowd calendars but I know we will get tons done that morning in MK. It also might be changed to an 8 am opening if we go by last years calendar.
