When you go into Olivanders wand shop at WWOHP, they pick one child each time to get "their" wand. The child tries several wands and when their wand picks them the magic works correctly. It is very fun and exciting. There are about 25 people in there at a time. My dd was picked, she said she made "hopeful faces" at they guy. I would talk to the person outside the door and explain your situation, it seems to me they could ensure your baby girl is the one who is picked. The wand is not free, it costs $35, but since you are thinking about getting one anyway....
HP himself is only seen in hologram in Hogwarts. There are many people dressed as Hogwarts students, and the frog choir performs. There is also a show done by the students of Beau Battons and Durmstrang that is a lot of fun. They take pictures afterwards, and the stage area is also an awesome spot to get some photos under your house banner in between shows.
We thought Universal was disappointing, but the WWohP was AWESOME!!! Food in 3 broomsticks was not awfully priced for park food. Universal has a deal where you can eat all day for $20, less for kids, but only at certain restaurants, and NOT at the 3 Broomsticks. If you want a quick butterbeer in a short line, try the pub, the cart in the street always has longer lines than the pub. Honeydukes has all the wizard sweets you can imagine,so save a few $$$ for a chocolate frog or box of every flavor beans.
