Caskbill's Memorial Service - Tuesday 6/16/09

I am in shock. I had a quick chance to visit the boards this weekend and the original thread giving updates still showed 6/10 when the family was upbeat, so I did not revisit. What a shock to find this thread this morning that Bill had passed suddenly. We are so saddened by this news and our thoughts and prayers go out to Peg and the rest of CaskBill's family! We will celebrate his life and everything he shared here with us. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him closely, and those of us who unfortunately didn't get to know him well enough.

Bill was such a great guy..always willing to help out anyone who needed it here on the boards and a fountain of great information.

He will be sorely missed around here.....

The DISboards will be going dark from 5pm to 7pm this evening in Bill's honor. If you access the boards, you will be redirected to a memorial page. The time coincides with the visitation and services in Indiana so that we can all be there in spirit.

Dear DVC Family and Friends-
Right now I and my family are trying to prepare for the first part of our "send off to the
5th park" my soulmate of 36 years , their father..and brother on Tuesday night. Your graciousness and sincerity have lodged in our hearts where we feel only loss currently.
All we know is that this pouring out of thoughts and prayers has truly stunned us. It
is wonderful to know that all Bill's hours, thoughtfulness, and devotion to DVC and making familes experiences at WDW a good time for all was appreciated by many for just what it was----the teacher and guide that Bill was to us all. I should have known Bill's
Disney Spirit when we went there to Disneyland on our honeymoon all those many years ago. Please know it is my intention to leave Bill's programs in their current state and accessible for all to see/and use. Bill was the computer guru of the family....having been on personal computers for over 30 years......his work will have to rest on its current laurels....because of my lack of knowledge and skill in this area.

Please know sincerely that your words and memories have touched us and eased our pain and loss in a significant way.

Good luck in all your Disney magical experiences today and in years to come.
