Cash stay vs points at OKW

Fairly new DVC members. Home for us is OKW.
We had a one bedroom after Christmas through NY on points. Great experience! Coming back in the spring (cash stay.) For those of you who've done both a cash and points stay. What, if any difference, did you notice? Specifically at OKW.

Cash thru Disney central reservation, you will get full daily housekeeping, you will not be able to book HH area, you will get what ever is available in the other buildings. You will pay for parking at the resort. You will not get any discounts. The CMs at OKW are top notch, you will be treated like any other guest.

Did they change the parking? It was that DVC Members, even staying on cash through Disney Central reservations, did not pay parking at a DVC Resort. But be sure they flag that at the Front Desk, and check your bill on check-out.

They didn't change it, so OP should stop at the front desk during their stay and let them know they're DVC members so that any parking charges can be removed from their bill.

Check with WDW on the housekeeping - normally cash guests get every day, but I think there may have been some changes due to COVID-19. You may only get it every other day, starting on day 3 (day 1 is checkin).

And during your stay, your room will receive a light cleaning service every other day, which will include:

• Removal of trash and used towels
• Replenishment of towels and amenities throughout the room and bathroom
• Wiping and cleaning of the vanity and counter surfaces
• Vacuuming if needed

You can also decline every-other-day service.

During covid, hotel guests (cash stay at OKW) get every other day cleaning. And it's more like trash and towel service. They aren't making beds or changing linens.

When I was first a member around 2000, weekend points were much higher. We liked staying Saturday to Friday at OKW. I would book Saturday on member cash (-25%), rest points. With member cash, they treated it as one stay with member rules.
