Cash Ressie with DVC discount for June

Just curious, has anyone been able to book a dvc resort for June with a cash ressie? We were trying to book a cash ressie at the ll month window, hoping to change it to points at the 7 month. The CM said that there weren't any rates dropping down for any of the resorts for June, so she wouldn't let me make the reservation. We were able to do this last year, even though none of the 2008 rates had been released, and then they sent us a confirmation when the rates were released. We just want a ressie

Are you trying to get a DVC Member discounted reservation or just make a cash reservation linked with a points reservation?

The member discount is often not available at 11 months, but may still become available later (within 6 months). I would try to make the rack rate reservation and later see if the discount becomes available. You can also try to get the same night using points from another resort at 7 months.

Hi Doc! Right now were are just trying to get the ressie at HH. Last year we booked this cash ressie at ll months, and the 2008 rates were not even out for the resorts. We said that was fine, we just wanted to lock in the days on cash. We know that we may or may not get a DVC discount later, but since we don't own at HH we wanted to get the cash ressie there and then try for the days on points at the 7 month mark. This worked well for us last year. We definitely want the weekends on cash and since it isn't our home and is such a popular resort, we feel better having the backup reservation.
