I called MS to make a cash reservation for a campsite at the fort for April 09. I was told they have no availablility, but they do have availability if I use points. The 2009 rates for the fort have not been released yet...could that be the reason I cannot get a cash reservation? Will more cash inventory become available once the rates come out?:confused3

Member Service is probly not able to book a cash reservation at all for a campsite. It is not a DVC resort. Cash reservations for non-DVC resorts need to go through CRO.

In 2008, the cost of a campsite went from 6-19 points per night depending on the day of the week and the time of year. Who knows what it will be in 2009.

If you want to pay cash at Fort Wilderness, you have to go through CRO. MS can't make those reservations. Only points reservations as soon as they determine how many points it will take.

That's the campsite with full hook up. Six points is the cheapest during 2008 (Jan and early Feb, Sun-Thurs) and 19 is the most during 2008 (Christmas time, Fri/Sat).

So it's about an equivalent of $190 a night during Christmas time on Fri and Sat.
