Cash Res... Possible cancel partial! HELP

Hi All,

I am booked for 7 nights at Vero Beach in July. of course I booked this at the 7month mark. As it turns out, we will be back on Saturday and my son has to report to Scout Camp on Sunday, so we are considering deleting one night from the end to make it a little easier. Is this possible? of course Vero is all booked up and im afraid if I cancel to re-book one less night, I'll lose the whole week.

Also, my mom now has decided that she would like to accompany us with some extra kids. There are no rooms available on points but there are on cash, what kind of discount can I get for her? Direct through Disney is about 2000, on a travel site it was 1800. Just looking for the best deal for her.

Assuming the night you want to cancel is on points, and you are the DVC Owner (the points weren't rented from a member) just call Member Services, they can modify a reservation and drop the night without a cancel and re-book. The online system, however, does not allow you to do a partial cancellation.

While you're on the phone to MS, ask if you can book the cash room for your Mom at the 25% Member discount...they may not allow it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Officially the DVC Owner is supposed to occupy the discounted room, so they may not allow the discount.

That is certainly possible, but I'd just ask about the discount first as that would be the easiest.

Just an FYI, there are times the discount isn't available at all, even to a DVC Member. It just depends upon overall availability.

They allowed me to book a cash room to hook on to a points room for my son and his girlfriend a few years ago and I was not traveling so if the room is available, you may have luck just putting it in her name.
