Background story : Planning trip to WDW for my parents 50th anniversary. I'm doing the rooms because I have DVC ( my sis is doing the food and my parents are buying the park tickets). There are 15 of us all together. My mom had her heart set on Epcot area but at the 7 month mark I couldn't get anytHing (I knew it was F&WF but didn't know about the half marathon ). So I booked OKW with hope of changing and day after day after day I've been looking and have managed to get one night here and one night there - and I a have wait lists in place as well. Meanwhile my parents booked some nights at BWV with cash (also not easy to get) because this is a special trip, my dad really wants my mom To be happy and while anywhere at WDW makes her happy, she'll be happiest in the Epcot area. Ok so now here I am with a good bunch of assorted nights booked with my points and I'm wondering if it is possible to link my points ressie with my parents' cash ressie. For example, If I have a std view studio booked for Wed, Thurs and Sun and my mom has one for Fri and Sat. Can MS link our ressies so we will get all 5 nights in same room?

If the cash reservation was made direct with Disney (Not DVC), no.

DVC can only link DVC reservations. I've seen recent posts where they can no longer link member cash and points reservations (both made by DVC).

If you book a standard studio at BWV, you can't book it for cash through Disney Reservation Center. What they call standard is preferred (not-BW) view in DVC-speak.

OKW really is a great place. Too bad you didn't keep that one. The buses are great. The villas are extra large. And it's really like a home away from home.

I haven't cancelled the OKW ressie yet....we stayed there in April and really liked it. I may just try to convince everyone involved to stay there instead. I think the convenience of the grandkids (ages 10-17) being able to walk to EPCOT and HS is the main reason she wants that area. Thank you for explaining about the booking categories at BWV .
