Cash or Credit???

1st time cruisers want to know if we should carry cash on shopping trips on our Eastern Cruise to St. M, St. J, and St. T. Daughter had a bad case of Identity Theft last year and we are a bit spooked to use credit cards in unfamiliar places. Do most places in the Islands accept travelers checks?

Just looking for a little input on this.

The great thing about traveling with Disney is the locals love the business. DW & I will be on our 4th Dis cruise in November. We have always used cash, travelers checks & credit cards. They have always taken each. Travelers checks should be just fine.

Cash is good too because you can use it as a bargaining tool, they will give you a discount a lot of times if you don't use a credit card.
