Hello...

I booked a cash night 8/1 @ OKW with an A/P rate. 8/2-8/6 is booked with points @ OKW. Is there anyway to have the 2 linked so, I don't have to change rooms? I really don't want to move.

Thanks,

BTW - there both studios

SInce the AP cash reservation was not made throguh Member Services, they can not, at this time, be linked. I would say that chances are good you won't have to move, but there is still the possibility. Be sure to inform the front desk of the situation when you check-in.

There seem to be reservation system changes in progress, due to some recent DVC reservations showing up on the main DisneyWorld website, they may be working on merging the two systems...which means that reservations could possibly be linked in the future.

THANKX!!!

Are you sure it was cheaper to book 8/1 with the AP rate as opposed to the 25% member discount? I have a 1-bed @ OKW booked for that night on cash through MS. The rate is $285, with AP it would be $289...not a big difference BUT the reservation is linked to my point reservation. I'm not sure what the studio rates are. Good Luck!

I called MS and got a rate of $238.33 w/tax. A/P rate including taxes came to $218.25 (studio). I'm going to call member services again just to make sure!

Thanks,

You are right, the AP rate is better for the studio. Hope you can link it up!:)

They must indeed be making some changes to the system because we have a DVC cash ressie for a an AKV value studio in July. I heard the AP rates came out today so I called to see what was avail. in the regular lodge rooms. I could get an AP rate of like $189 / n for a pool view which would be $146 cheaper overall than our DVC rate for the studio...BUT they could see in the system that I already had the DVC ressie and they would not let me have 2 reservations for the same dates!! Knowing that there are a limited number of these pool view rooms now that the top 2 floors are DVC, I asked how many pool view rooms they had at this rate and they would not tell me! The guy said "I can tell you we have at least one". :headache: They told me I would have to call DVC MS and cancel my other ressie then call back on the AP hotline and hope the room was still available. They would not put a hold on it or anything...I called back again later, hoping a diff. CM would be easier to work with on it but got the same spiel. So I did nothing. My luck, I would lose out on both rooms in the time that it took to call DVC! I was not happy with anybody at Disney today! It really rubbed me wrong that they were so difficult about it.
