cash machines

Has anyone used their ATM card at machines in florida?
Our cards are Maestro cards which our bank says they can be used abroad, but we cant find any info to say if 'abroad' mean Europe or the US or worldwide.

Anyone know?
Or does everyone just take travellers cheques?

I've previously used a Lloyds ATM card without any problems. But I did check SEVERAL times to make sure it was going to be valid over there.

If your bank can guarantee you that it is ok then there is no reason why it won't work.

My first time doing this I took enough other sources of funds and only took a few hundred out just to "test the system" as I wasn't 100% convinced either LOL

yeah i used mine loads, no problem. just try to remember that it gives your balance in dollars.
