Cash Discount Question

I just called for an additional night, paying cash. There is no discount now, but MS told me to call back later and check. How far ahead do the discounts usually come out-in other words, when should I call back?

When are you going? They will only release discounts if they anticipate that the room will not be reserved for points. If it's a busy time, they may never release them for that date. It's easier to get them for Friday or Saturday nights.

are you going to get an annual pass with the new DVC discount in January?

annual pass discounts are better than the 25% off DVC members get.

If I get an AP and reserve a room with that discount (assuming one comes out for March) would I have trouble linking the two reservations together? If we would have to move I'd rather just go somewhere else for the weekend. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Yes you may have to move with a CRO booking. We did this before and had to move. Book through MS so you can officially link the reservations.

I did it last year with no problem. Stayed Sun-Thurs nights on points and AP rate Friday night. Had to get new keys on Friday morning but we also got full housekeeping for that day. No problem keeping the same room. MS would not book it for me, I had to go through CRO for the AP night and had both reservations noted. MS will book the member discount rate. The only time I've heard of problems with keeping the same room was if you had a BWV boardwalk view or a BCV 2 bedroom with the 2 queens.
