I think today is going to turn out to be very good for the prosecution in the end. The whole family is being proven to be a pack of liars. :sad2:

anyone see a white cane?? a seeing eye dog???

how blind IS lee??

he didn't see anything until after the birth??

he didn't see anything from the baby shower?? CoughBScough

Lee seems very weird. Laughing at inappropriate times (the smell in the trunk). Just a very shady character.

Lee just said two years ago he did not hold on the the knowlege Caylee was dead...WTH

Lee is feeling guilty for not being there for Casey. He really does need help to understand that this is not his fault.

He was always like that. Nervous laughter? Reminds me of a friend I had. She even said it annoyed her DH.

This is getting intense.

This whole testimony is wierd! He didn't notice a baby shower. How is he to notice a few moments of Febreeze spraying?

JA: "Your parents were excited about the pregnancy"
Lee: I wouldn't know, they didn't tell me about it.

JA: "There were preparations in the home and you weren't aware of them?"
Lee says no.

JA: Your parents were over the top about this, weren't they?
Lee: After, certainly.
JA: Before, too?
Lee: Prior to my sister's actually having Caylee? My answer was I wasn't paying attention and it was told something I didn't need to be concerned about.

J: Page 35 of deposition you discuss the period of the pregnancy before the baby was born, correct?
L: Yes.
J: You indicate that your rolee was just to be there in the backgrond to support and not be over the top because my parents wanted to be the ones to be over the top. That clearly reflects your parents direct response to the pregnancy.
L: "That was the impression I was under. I was told they would take care of it. I just sat back."

J: What preparations to the house did they make?
L: Crib,
J: Did they redecorate entire room that was family computer room?
L: Yes, to my knowledge.
J: But you saw it?
L: I saw it after the fact.
J: It was decorated to the nines?
L: Yes, it was.
J: That was in preparation to caylee's arrival?
L: I suppose.
J: You were there?

Lee says he never went INTO the room until Caylee was born.

L asks if parents shopped before birth and had a party.
J: I wasn't invited.
L: Didn't they have a baby shower?
J; I wasn't invited.
L: Were you aware of shower?
J: Yes, I believe so, it was in June.
L: You know they had a party?
J: I wasn't invited. Whatever transpired, I had no knowledge.
L: It happened at the house?
J: I imagine?
L: There were presents all over the house?
J: I didn't ask about it, I wasn't involved in it. It was hidden from me. I wasn't going to go out of my way to invite myself or know everything that's going on. Hopefully that answers your question. I was not an attentive uncle.

J: But your parents weren't hiding this from friends and loved ones?
Objection.

J: What was different about the way the emotion w/which you answered the question 2 hours ago was different from the emotion you did not display 2 years ago?
L: At that moment I didn't believe Caylee was dead. Now I believe she is dead. My emotions come from regrets and wish I could've been there a lot more than I was.

J: You were at a memorial service and spoke 6 months before this first testimony?
L: Yes.

He was always like that. Nervous laughter? Reminds me of a friend I had. She even said it annoyed her DH.

Yes it is!

One thing I don't get. How did Lee live there and not know that they were redoing the family computer room to make it into the baby's room? Also, when did George and Cindy find out about the baby? Didn't Lee say that he found out three days before she was born? Did I hear that right?

That is normal to feel bitter about stuff. I am not feeling sorry for anyone, but I think Lee would like someone to reach out to to talk about things.

I agree. It's easy to sit here and pick these people apart because we are on the outside, most of us are pro prosecution, and most of us believe Casey is guilty as sin. However, we haven't lived this life; we haven't walked their shoes, and I sincerely hope for all of us that we never do. I don't know who or what to belive anymore in all of this. I do believe Casey killed Caylee beyond that I have no idea who or what to believe.

L: Yes.

This is troubling, no? He was at a memorial service for Caylee and spoke there. Well, isn't a memorial service something you have when someone is dead!? I don't know who has a memorial service for someone who is alive.

Just a very shady character.

I don't think he's shady. I think he is heartbroken, alone, and completely torn apart. He is a brother/uncle who has huge regrets and no matter what he wishes, he can't undo what his sister did.

I love this! Ashton won't let Baez finish a question.

Most family's go through shock and surprise and the acceptance of an unplanned pregnancy.

I can not figure out just what Lee's testimony is going to mean to the jury.

is it really so hard for baez to phrase a question - any question - without leading the witness????

how about

"When did the baby shower take place" see dippy - not so hard

First, I'd like to know why NONE of this family has a job? Not Lee, not Cindy, not George.... none of them work, why is that?

I had no idea Lee was color blind, if that is so how could he identify stains necessarily?

This is the first time we've heard Caylee's baby shower was held after she was born, that's not what we've heard before.

I don't feel a bit bad for any of these people, they have all put all of this on themselves. If Lee has issues he should seek help, if he doesn't choose to, that's on him. They want a baby killer to walk free. I cannot for the life of me figure out how you could morally support her walking free even if she is your child or sister. There is only one place for a person like Casey, and that's behind bars. If she doesn't wind up there now she will in the not too distant future.

What the heck kind of crazy family is this!?!? Ai yi yi ... they get crazier and crazier by the second!

Lee is told to put it aside, don't talk about it but Cindy & George can blather to friends about Casey's pregnancy?

Lee doesn't see any preparations, etc. for the baby? Didn't know about shower because he wasn't invited?

Honestly, Lee? Honestly?

maybe baez will say lee was cold and heartless because he couldn't be botherd to give a damn enough to look at some baby gifts????
