I kind of feel bad for her. I don't think she should have been called as a witness at all. Clearly she's been told exactly what she can say and what she shouldn't say.
They really need to give this poor woman the gong or the hook... she's embarrassing herself up there on the stand. No doubt she is/was a bright woman back in her day, but she's really all over the place in her testimony today.
I kind of feel bad for her, but can't believe that she's still there "babbling" back and forth.
Oh, and I agree that she's trying to make her answers and "opinions" fit the defense.
Interesting, before she couldn't render and opinion and NOW she can. I do think, though, that her saying 2 weeks so many times, not so good for the prosecution.
I would agree with you but with her back-and-forth mind changing and not knowing what she originally said in her depo, I think she kind of looks like she doesn't really know what the heck she's talking about. If I were on that jury, I'd question her credibility.
I've tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but she said that the remains could have been there 2 weeks but then agreed that it could have been there longer. Next witness, please.
