this won't be popular but it's not all baez fault.
it takes 2 to tango and ashton has had his fair share of hand slaps of his own.
If CM is such a bigshot how is this happening? It has to be deliberate on the defense team= no defense
I cant understand how an attorney does not have enough witness for the day. I guess he planned on keeping them on the stand all day? Baez has not been very professional at all. Nothing is ever Baez's fault. I cant believe you gave the state a report with nothing in it? And testify to what? And Ashton is to accomodate this man on a whim?
jp is "this close" to starting at 8.30"
if they don't want to act professional he will retuce lunch hours, and will make them "work FULL days"
ouch - they are getting it but GOOD this morning
Loved this morning already with JBP dressing down the attorneys! That whole "9:25. 9:26. You two can't agree on anything" was a great way to start the morning!
And now recess til 10:25. JBP is pissed!!!!!
Baez is not ready? Seriously? Is it any wonder why people call him Bozo? He had all of Sunday ... not to mention the last 3 years!
ETA that I feel bad for the jury having to be there all day on Saturday because of the attorneys behavior!! Sucks for them but I see why JBP is doing it.

Yeah, but if I am understanding corrEctly--this morning's moment was instigated by Saturday's incident which was solely Baez's fault. Can't blame Ashton for that one. Though I did not witness the exchange, so if I am missing anything, feel free to fill in the gaps.
Perry would not have said what he said to Baez on Saturday if this were Ashton's fault. (Baez picking and choosing which court orders to follow.)

Who are the people that sit directly behind the attorney's when they are at the podium? They look like they are writing things down? Are they reporters or are they just the public? One guy looked like he was about to laugh several times when Baez was speaking.
Since Baez is inexperienced he had to have a more experienced attorney on board. So I dont understand why Mason is not instructing Baez on things he needs to do or not do. The defense is doing things on purpose. But I think the judge is really pointing the finger at the defense as this is not the first time the defense team has done this.
You are right it takes two. But sometimes Baez takes advantage of things and expects things to go his way and not abide by court orders. I think Ashton has done a few things to irritate Baez as in " well how does that feel ". I am glad the judge is not putting up with the nonesense.

Mike Brooks on InSession said that the whole time JP was talking Baez never looked at him...talked to Mason and Casey.
InSession commentators talking about an appeal based on "ineffective assistance of counsel", since they get asked that question by the public so much. Answer...Baez is surrounded by an experienced team of lawyers, but if afterward the other lawyers claim that he refused to listen to them and Baez took complete control, then maybe that would be a basis for appeal.Or something like that; still need coffee!
I'm just back from 2 weeks of travel with only a few opportunities to see the night time wrap ups of the trial. Lovin' this mornin' 'n this judge too!![]()
First post.I saw a map of the court room somewhere 'n if I recall correctly those seats are reserved for the press.
Welcome back!
