i'm confused. I thought the jury was not supposed to discuss the case while on breaks but they are asking to see a piece of evidence. Doesn't this mean they were discussing it?

how can the jury be asking to see anything right now? I thought they had to wait until the very end to see evidence

I am wondering the same thing! Do you suppose they walked into the break room and one of them said "I'd like to see exhibit 313. Anyone else??" They could discuss what they want to see, without discussing the evidence or the case itself, I guess!

Now they come back from commercial and go to a sidebar. Once questioning begins again they'll go to commercial again. So frustrating!

I'm shocked that between the prosecutors and defense and the judge and the commentators...NONE of them are asking how the jury came to ask about seeing and handling the evidence.

I think that's even too much. I think they're not supposed to say ANYTHING about the case. This sounds like a possible mistrial situation to me. EXCEPT that no one but us (and on FB) seems to care.

I can really understand trying to help her daughter out. I certainly don't know how I would handle having to testify and help put my daughter to death. That has to be incredibly scary and just plain mental torture. I can understand it. She's been through hell and now she'll lose her daughter too! How do you ever find some kind of normal again?

As much as I'm not a CA fan, I'm seriously concerned for her future. This is from an email from Shirley Plesea (Cindy's mother) to her sister (Cindy's aunt) early 6-5-08 before Caylee went missing. It was in reference to prior CA's separation from GA and possible divorce:

CINDY WAS DOING FINE, SUPPORTING THE HOUSE , SAVING ETC, TILL GEORGE GOT THEMINTO DEBT, WITH THE ON LINE GAMBLING.GETTING CREDIT CARDS TO COVER THE LOSESTHEN RUNNING UP CREDIT BILLS. HE GETS BEHIND ON THOSE EVENCINDY SAW A COUNSELOR, SHE TOLD HER TO NOT SUPPORT CASEY AND CAYLEE CINDYSAID I CAN'T LET THEM BE OUT ON THE STREET.

SHE SAW A LAWYER BEFORE ABOUT THE DIVOREE, BEFORE SHE TOOK HIM BACK. GEORGESLAWYER, SAID HE COULD GET HALF THE HOUSE ( WHICH CINDY HAS PAID EVERY PENNYON, AND ALSO SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY HIM ALIMONY _BECAUSE SHE HAD SUPPORTEDHIM ALL THESE YEARS. CINDY ASKED HER LAWYER IF THEY COULD DO THAT. HE SAID YESTHEY COULD, BECAUSE SHE HAD BEEN THE MAIN SUPPORT EVERY SINCE THEY CAME TOFLORIDA.

"AINT THAT A <censored by denisemb>??? ) SHE SAID AIN'T NO WAY HE'S GETTING THE HOUSE THAT SHEHAS PAID FOR. SO SHE HAS TO STAY MARRIED. KNOWING SHE WILL NEVER GET A HEADAGAIN. EVEN IF SHE WANTED TO GET AN APARTMENT, AND SOLD THE HOUSE. . HE COULDSTILL CLAIM HALF OF EVERY THING SHE HAS. THATS WHY AT 50 SHE IS SO DEPRESSED ALLTHESE YEARS OF WORKING AND BETWEEN GEORGE, AND NOW CASEY... SHE IS LIVINGFROM PAYDAY TO PAY DAY. SHE SAYS SHE KNOWS THERE IS A SICKNESS THAT RUNS INGEORGES FAMILY. HIS SISTER SONIE, IS Bl POLAR , LIKE JEANS SISTER JOAN, COMPULSIVEBE HAVIOR, OVER SPENDING IS ONE TRAIT. LOTS OF OTHERS, CASEY HAS IT TOO

CINDY SAID SHE HAS THOUGHT OF "DOING AWAY WITH HERSELF, IF IT WASN'T FORCAYLEE AND DAD AND ME. BUT WITH THE PRESSURE SHE'S UNDER, EVEN THAT MIGHTNOT BE ENOUGH TO KEEP HER FROM HARMING HERSELF.

This is ridiculous. My daughter is 3 1/2, wears 3T, and she was playing around in a size 18 month bathing suit this morning. Right now she's wearing 2T shorts.

And the duct tape - so what- Geroge used it after Caylee went missing, how does that exclude ICA and Cindy claimed that it was black

Maybe just ONE juror sent a note to the judge telling him they didn't see the sticker evidence after it was entered?

The whole thing about the duct tape irks me. So Casey used it that day, and put it back.

I googled the question about the jury asking about evidence during the trial and from what I understand about the articles I read is that some jurisdictions have had Jury Reform. It allows the jurors to be active participants including juror note taking, pre-deliberation discussions, and the right to ask questions. One article states this in only for a civil trial but this article was written in 1999. Maybe Jury reform has expanded to criminal trials and is allowing jurors to ask questions throughout so they can better recall the facts.
