Quick question? When I'm watching the videos where is Casey sitting? Is she off to the left? How about the jury?

If you are looking toward the witness stand, Casey is on the right, I'm assuming jury is on the left.

Yup, pretty much, Casey and her team are directly facing the jury. The podium is between them.

Ya I would love to see a layout of how the court room is set up. I am trying to figure that out too.

I thought if you were sitting in the witness box, Casey Athony would be right in front of you, maybe to your right a bit. The jury is on your direct right and the prosecution is on the left. The podium for whoever is addressing the witness is like right in between both the prosecution and defense tables and right in front of the Judge ….. but I have no clue.

And I had it ALL wrong.

I appreciate the layout!

Thanks for the diagram, I was trying to figure out why she was out of sight
all the time.

Defense getting at the no emotive response from GA at the 911 call.

Is is possible that GA knew something? Would KC have confided something to him? Obviously she is a lying lizard to CA. Was she that way with GA also? Obviously it looks as though she lies to everybody all the time to me.

I don't know, I think if I came home from work, my wife was yelling on the phone, my daughter yelling in another room, and my wife blurted out to me "our granddaughter's missing she's been taken" my response would probably be "huh ? huh ? what ?" or something of that caliber.

Cindy is such a strong woman.
I believe that after those past few days, the testimonies and all that, she has finally faced the fact that her daughter killed her own child, the granddaughter she loved so much. Losing a child is the worst thing one can go through, but to know that you actually raised the monster who killed her... how can you go on after something like this ?!
She had to sit there hour after hour today knowing that her testimony is going to help keep her daughter in jail, and may even help put a needle in her arm. :sad2: But she has to tell the truth, for Caylee, because we all know that Casey is not going to.
Just reading that breaks my heart and makes me feel ill. :(
Probably, but he flirted with her, she liked it :lovestruc
She even flirted with the detectives or cops or whatever when she was in some sort of holding room after she was arrested. She's a piece of work. We'll probably be hearing about her and prison guards someday. Didn't that happen with Susan Smith?

Yes, it did...http://lubbockonline.com/stories/090601/upd_075-6441.shtml

Awesome. This is like the "Ask joviroxx" thread. LOL I'm going to try to plop that in the first post.

Exactly. He must have been stunned, walking into that scene...why would the whole thing register with him immediately? Cindy's on the phone, the police are arriving...it must've been chaotic. Picture it the other way...if he had immediately started yelling, wouldn't THAT have looked like an act, like he was putting on a performance as part of the big coverup? And didn't Cindy say she was pacing back and forth, greeted him outside or in the doorway as he arrived, and was heading back to Casey's bedroom? If she was walking away, how much could anyone hear over the phone of what HE might be saying? It was harder to hear her as she held the phone away to speak to him and we know SHE was freaking out.

The reason Casey & her team are off the the side with a wall behind them is that they requested it. They were concerned that people sitting behind them in the courtroom would be able to see their computer screens.

Don't know what's on them they want to hide, but they requested it after jury selection & before opening statements.

I too have been following this since the beginning and believe she is guilty, and sure hope the state leaves no reasonable doubt where that is concerned.

My heart breaks for this family, as its hard to imagine the loss of a precious child, but then to have to face the fact that your child was the one who did it and caused your family all this pain must be heart wrenching.

Thankfully i can stream the trial at work and listen along, but sure not getting much else done as i have to watch all the highlights upon getting home:rotfl:

So do you guys think Cindy thinks Casey killed Caylee?

i think no mother wants to believe her own daughter could kill her own daughter but deep down inside i think she knows and it's killing her

regardless of what a b KC has been and continues to be she's still cindys daughter - and she doesn't want to think she raised someone who could possibly be that cruel

but like the other parents (susan smith, the one who drowned her 5 kids, even scott petersons mother doesn't want to believe it but eventually come to admit it to themselves.

I would have to think at this stage she is believing the worst and hoping it is not true.

I just watched the video of the 911 calls and her (Cindy's) reaction to it and I'm surprised she was even able to come back and talk after them. Those tapes just ripped the emotions and the guts right out of her.

The worst part is hearing her (Casey's) lies right on tape saying how they'll get Caylee tomorrow...and knowing what Cindy knows now she can't deny that her daughter did something wrong.

YW!

I think they asked to move there instead of next to State because they didn't want anyone to be able to see their laptop screens. Didn't they complain about that during jury selection?

And add to the fact that she is up there testifying knowing that what she is saying might put her daughter away for life.. I mean really, how much loss and pain can a person handle?

I knew I should have faked that stomach ache today. Lots of interesting stuff.

I hear those phonecalls and again I just realize how it's the "Casey Show" in that house. Was it always that way throughout her life...

I wonder if the defense is leaning toward having her declared insane due to the "imaginary friends" wording that Bozo used over and over and over with Cindy.

Bozo and Casey seemed very chummy in previous court appearances and if I remember correctly, I think I read something or heard on Nancy Grace a year ago that he was being warned about physical contact with her during his visits to the prison. Looking at them now, she seems almost cold to him...I wonder if he brought up the "crazy defense" and she got p.o.'d.

I was playing back the jail call from 2008 in which Casey calls and speaks with Cindy. A couple things stood out to me -

*Casey states she hasn't heard from Zanny. And yet, on 6/17/2008 Casey tells the 911 Operator that she talked to Caylee on the phone that morning. Really? Did Caylee dial the phone herself? When they pulled the phone records was there a call that morning?

*Did Casey then call Tony? If so, did he accept her call?
