The reason Casey & her team are off the the side with a wall behind them is that they requested it. They were concerned that people sitting behind them in the courtroom would be able to see their computer screens.

Don't know what's on them they want to hide, but they requested it after jury selection & before opening statements.
I wonder too if they want the jury to see her more easily...looking all young and innocent and shaking her head "no" and dabbing at her tears.
So do you guys think Cindy thinks Casey killed Caylee?
Yes, at this point.

There was this big murder case in RI...Craig Price. He murdered a neighbor, a woman, when he was 13. It was unsolved until he murdered other neighbors, a woman and her two daughters, 8 and 10 (stabbed and strangled, one daughter as she tried to protect her mother :( ) when he was 15. There was a newspaper series with interviews with him when he was 30, where he gave very vivid details of the crimes (like the smell of the blood)...he acted alone. Here's what his mother Shirley and sister Kimberly had to say in the article...talk about denial.
Shirley says Craig's brother, John Jr., holds himself to blame. Craig wanted to go out that night with his brother, she says, but John said no. "It has affected him to this day."

Which night was that? The night of the Spencer murder? Or the Heatons?

Shirley Price frowns at the question. She scolds, "Craig didn't kill Becky."

She says he didn't kill the Heatons, either.

It's suddenly clear why Craig Price had said at our first meeting that talking about the murders would hurt his mother.

He never told his family what happened.

The women explain their understanding that Price was among about four youths who participated in the Heaton atrocity, but they are sure that Craig did not commit the violence.

Shirley says: "I said to God, 'Tell me if my child did this and then give me the strength to endure.' And my answer was that my child did not do this. He was there. He was there and for that he has to pay, OK? I know God. I've talked to Him. He answered me. He told me to be patient, and a peace and calmness came over me."

But what of Craig's confession?

"The police only wanted to hear what they wanted to hear," Kimberly says.

Cindy referred to Jeff as Casey's boyfriend around 4th of July? I thought it was Tony. :confused3 And Casey was pursuing (lie) a relationship with a wealthy man?? Was that supposedly Jeff?

Jeffrey was the one she told her mother that she was with who supposedly had a trust fund and the son Zach and that she supposedly had dated before and was "rekindling" things with (this was the Jeff who also worked at Universal who barely even knew who she was). She was actually dating Tony at the time. :rolleyes1

I think she thought it would sound good to her mother for her to be with somebody who had a child Caylee's age (notice how they were always about Caylee's age to make great playmates?) and who was financially stable. Cindy was a lot more concerned about Caylee's welfare than her mother ever was, and she used "Jeff" as a way to make herself look good. Of course, it was just another lie.

So do you guys think Cindy thinks Casey killed Caylee?

I think she does now. I think it's breaking her heart to have to accept it.

Yeah, that's some major denial there. I hope they locked that guy up for life. I know he was young, but he is obvioulsy very, very dangerous - regardless of what his mama thinks. :sad2:

Yes, at this point.

But then why does she gush when she talks about Casey as a mother? I don't get it...

I understand not wanting to see your daughter go to jail and not wanting to believe the worst about your own flesh and blood...but omg it's time to see things clearly and realize that Casey is a bad egg.

Bozo should have a chart for her "relationships" like he does with the calendar. That way we can keep them all straight.

I record The View and I'm watching it now. ABC News Chief Legal Reporter Chris Cuomo is on and he stated that the defense is claiming Casey was "somewhat" FORCED by George to bury Caylee after an accidental drowning. Where the heck is that coming from?? They've never said what happened after the so-called accidental drowning. Again...this goes back to my *****ing yesterday about the misinformation put out there by Nancy Grace and these other news correspondents. And then Whoopie is there, all "huh?", about George being the last person to see Caylee alive, like she's saying "If he was the last person to see her alive, then there ya go!"

Isn't that the truth? Maybe he could have two headings: Lies and Truth.

Are you guys just floored to hear lie after lie after lie today? And she has no facial reaction....

I'm not a psychiatrist but sociopath keeps coming to mind when I hear the stories and see her on tv.

i don't like nancy grace.

she's way over the top and gets on my nerves

Yeah, I agree. She's really something.

Like I've said before, I know someone who lies like this. Lies when there is no reason to lie - just lies. When confronted with the truth by somebody that they KNOW knows they are lying (has proof, no less) will keep on lying. It's like they think as long as they keep saying it, it's the truth. Honestly, watching them, I think it becomes their truth - even though they do know better, they just choose to view the lie as the truth. It's really mindboggling watching it.

Probably for what could have been. Also everyone so far said Casey WAS a good mother, so maybe, at times, she appeared to be.

So Bozo needs to watch 16 & pregnant tonight...the girl on hid her pregnancy from her parents and her friends didn't even know until she was almost 8 months preggo. The mother even said that she had an inkling but was so hoping it wasn't true that she was in denial until the daughter finally told her for sure.

He was tried as a juvenile, a month before turning 16. RI laws have been changed since then, altho the new laws could not be applied to him. He would have gotten out at 21. There was an outpouring of rage over that, and they managed to keep him in with other charges...I think fighting, assaulting a guard...that kind of thing. He's 37 now, and his next date to get out of prison is 2020. Not that you need anymore crime to read, but here it is if you're interested (it's rather short):

That is very, very scary. You almost have to know that if he gets out that he will hurt/kill someone else. As much as we would like to think so, people don't always have to be "crazy" to commit heinous crimes. There are people who are truly evil in our world. I don't know where this guy falls, but I sure wouldn't want to be anywhere around when he gets out. :sad2:

The sociopath that I know is better at appearing to be a good person than rhe actually good people I know! It is part of their skill repertoire. I am sure KC very convincingly appeared to be things she is not!

They saw Casey with Caylee, but how often?? under what circumstances, you mean when casey was "showing her off", perhaps.... but behind closed doors, who knows what happened, my gut says that child was drugged to allow casey to go on with what she thought was a perfect guy/situation, lozarro, who came off to me as a guy that got what he could and casey was clearly willing to give it. Didn't one of the girls that testified, it was someones girlfriend??...say something like Tony got what he needed, it was certainly not complimentary, as I recall.
And then today, I think it was a christina (?) . the girl on the phone when casey called the house after she was arrested, when that girl cried about her feelings for caylee and that she would just die if anything happened to her/caylee, my heart nearly paused..it was heartbreaking, the raw emotional:sad1: ...Oh, I think she is a neighbor and friend??
anyway, thanks again to all of you that are keeping us updated thru out the day, appreciated :flower3:

That's kind of what I wondered too. She made her parents think she was taking care of Caylee - working, hiring a nanny, doing playdates and hanging out with friends who also had small children - when in fact that was all a lie.

There was no doubt, Casey was pregnant in that photo. She wasn't wearing baggy clothes to hide it. Cindy is a nurse, how could she not, at least guess ? Very odd. IMO

Well I think another thing this family has proved is that they are good at denial.

I agree. The person that I know is incredibly good at deceiving people and making them believe that this person is wonderful - and I do mean wonderful - until they eventually get burned. If they have close contact with them, they will eventually find out, but otherwise, they just continue thinking they're great!

A friend of mine works with kids and she describes some of the moms that she encounters as "showtime moms" in that when it's needed, they put on a good show as if they are a loving parent but the true story is that once the attention is off of them, the kid is on it's own....

Since Caylee didn't seem to have a babysitter at many stages of this story since "zanny" was watching her off and on for 2 years, perhaps Casey wasn't the Mom that she acted like when the spotlight was on her...
