ok i am way behind in all this , as my internet & tv has been out all week.

she was drowned?
did the autopsy show that?

& casey did or did not know this?
& have they gotten into why she did not report her child missing?
There are a lot of links to information in the first post. As the attorneys would say "asked and answered!"

Or you can also go to the top of any page and "search this thread" and get some information. Or even go back within the last few pages, since I believe those questions were asked again quite recently.

WFTV has "raw video" of the whole trial on their site. You can probably easily find the opening statements there. That would tell you a lot about each side's case.

I commented about that today, as soon as Cindy said they were looking for Zani until 6 weeks ago. It was 6 weeks ago when Baez started putting out there about the big bombshell in the first 3 minutes.

Haha you did. I forgot until after I had posted it. It has been a long day and I have been trying to catch up here but it has been sporatic and then I forget what I had already read.

I thought this was really interesting. Especially the part about them still looking for Zanny until they found out that the defense was going to say George abused Casey and that she admitted Caylee died on the 16th of June.

Once again, thanks for all the updates today and the LINKs provided. What a day
Just some of my thoughts for the day.....I truly believe that Cindy wanted to believe that the nanny existed...up until she found out (and stopped looking for Zani) that casey admits that Caylee died on 6/16.
Zani...then nanny....it is so interesting that the name itself is known on the streets for Xanax (of course pronounced Zanax, for those not familiar) a narcotic that is often used for anxiety, to calm you.....relax you, slow you down....see the connection....
As far as brother Lee hoes, I think that his words at the memorial were to his niece telling her he would find out who murdered her and that there would be justice. he also added in something about face up to it, deal with it which was directed to his sister/casey.....
This tragedy is just more and more awful and compelling as the days progress...I hope that there is Justice for Caylee and
that the jury will be able to handle all the "garbage" thrown at them by the defense to throw them off course (abuse etc) and not get caught up in it....I hope they can see thru it all and do what they need to do...........I would not want to be on that jury....I don't think I could ever be in a jury about any adult allegedly harming a child, my head is spinning and my heart aches for those mourning this child.....so sad...

Great recap of today. THANKS! Short & sweet.

I keep think of Tony's reading the text message between him & CA, "if they don't find her guess who gets to spend life in jail".

And I keep thinking of the instant text the prosecution is trying to get in but so far the judge says is excessively prejudicial:

from Casey to Tony - June 10 text read: "... Only a few more days and you can bring your *** over anytime you want and stay any night you want."

So what was going to happen to make that possible?

:guilty:

I have seen parents of sociopathic children who seem unwilling or unable to accept the depravity and amoral character of their offspring. I have wondered if is denial or guilt..maybe both. I have seen them support their grown children even though that child has committed horrible crimes against family members.

Is this what motivated the seemingly silly search for the nanny?? They so believed in her existence because they can not comprehend this level of deception which occurred for no apparent reason and went on so long? The only hope for Casey is If they can find some shred of credibility in anything she says? A parents innate need to protect a child? It seems crazy to me, but must make sense to them. I think Cindy may be facing reality about now.

:scared1: It just kills me (and yes, I know there's all sorts of legal explanations for why things are the way they are in court cases) when something is deemed prejudicial because, well, of course it IS! KWIM? It's like "we can't show the video of him shooting the victim because it's prejudicial." LOL :confused3

Me too.

MaryAnn posted it a bit back, but here it is again

I read on WS that the moment Casey got enraged is when she saw George hug Cindy after Cindy was done testifying and was on her way out of the courtroom - WOW - re watch the clip with this in mind. Casey looks up and then looks toward the back of the courtroom (George hugs Cindy out of camera range) but you can see her reaction to that. Furious!

I had wondered what set Casey off, because beside a few fake crocodile tears she was cool as a cucumber all the time Cindy was crying during her testimony. But the sight of George and Cindy sharing a hug p'o her big time ;)

Wonder why that would enrage her?

Because it show Casey that George & Cindy are united, united in their stories, united in what they will say on the stand.....and not going to let Casey bring them down with anymore lies. She can't play her parents against each other like she used to. She can't have Cindy control George for her anymore.

Casey is on her own now.
She's hurt that family enough.

Wow! Thanks for bringing that information here! I'm going to do just that--re-watch with that in mind.
Wonder why that would enrage her?
Because Casey is accusing George of molesting her, and her mother, by her actions, isn't buying it and is sticking with George.

I think you hit the nail on the head

Ah, I see. Thanks.

I'm glad the two of them are united, especially since Casey's defense team seems to not think a thing about throwing everyone under the bus in order to try and keep precious Casey from being convicted.

Wow...I just watched the clip now too and she's really angry. Thanks for shedding some light on why. I thought maybe it was because her mother didn't even glance her way when she got off the stand.

Again...we see her shedding more tears shed over this than over her daughter. Casey is all about Casey...and nothing else.

I'm glad she's angry. She's showing her true colors (not that we don't already know her true colors). I hope she continues to have those kinds of reactions and that the jury sees it.

Yep, Casey is all about herself.

Would love for a lip reader to check it out and say just what she's saying. It appears she said "my mother over me" at :26 in....
