I will be at work, and I'm a preschool teacher so I'm in the classroom with kids, can't even listen to the trial, so I am looking forward to reading all the updates when I get home! LOL, my son had pinkeye late last week and I was fanatical about washing my hands after doing his drops in his eyes, but now I'm kind of hoping that maybe I will wake up tomorrow and my eyes will be all red so I can't go to work!

Present and account for. See everyone at 9am sharp.

MaryAnnDVC - How did the wedding go? Have you started another thread about it? Much more pleasant subject than Casey Anthony trial!

It's this coming Friday! It's just a small wedding, but it's been quite the contrast between putting together the details of a wedding, and watching jury selection and now the trial. In between watching the trial tomorrow, I've got several wedding phone calls to make. (Hope I remember to call! ) It's like the trial is disrupting the wedding plans, and the wedding plans are disrupting the trial!

Bumping up!

Just getting it ready :);)

An article from this morning:

A blurb from it:
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Fifty courtroom seats will be available to spectators each day of the trial, which is expected to last up to eight weeks. A line of people waiting for the proceedings stretched around the courthouse by 5 a.m.Some said they have been following the case and want to see Anthony in person. Others said they wanted to hear the full story as it is told in court.

Came across an article: http://www.clickorlando.com/news/27990525/detail.html

Mark Nejame (former attorney on Casey's team) strongly believes they are going with the accidental death defense. If so--would that make Baez the worst lawyer ever for letting his client sitting and stewing for so long?

Additionally, I recall in past discussions, that for FL--an accidental death on a young child with an illegal substance, could still be murder. But I would have to do some digging to find that. IOW--you can do something illegal to a child that causes them harm and subsequently their death and get off with just an "accidental" manslaughter charge. State can and does go for the murder conviction.

Either way--it is highly unlikely that defense can go with that theory without Casey taking the stand where she will subsequently get pummeled on cross examination by the prosecution.

Either way "accidentally did it" is much much much different than "had nothing to do with it".

Interesting.

Subscribing.. Thank you all for keeping this thread up for those of us at work and can't watch!

I am curious how long the opening statement for the prosecution will be? I am thinking it will be at least an hour, we'll see.

OMG, the look she is giving. Like some poor sad puppy dog. She is really going to play this up. :sad2:

Cindy and George (holding an open bible in his lap) are there. Also, Nancy Grace, Geraldo, and Ashley Banfield.

There is a wall behind Casey and defense team, so no one behind them can read notes.

Judge explaining the trial process to the jurors.

Casey looks nervous and flushed to me.

It was reported that to ensure that no one behind them that could potentially read notes etc, the defense team was moved to a different position in the court room, Casey is now facing the jury head on.

Cindy is reported to be carrying a teddy bear.

I also think that Casey looks nervous and flushed, she also looks like her eyebrows were scalped.

Cindy is reported to be carrying a teddy bear.
Really? I'm surprised they would allow that.

Jurors CAN take notes.

Just showed a shot of George...he looks ill. I can't imagine. :sad2:

Female prosecutor speaking. Need to get the names...sure we will by the end of this trial.

She said that it's Casey Anthony's trial, but the story is about Caylee. Starting with the day she was born, how her grandparents doted on her. Casey is looking pretty distraught.

Going to watch now. If anyone comes across a transcript later on, post it!

Does anyone know of a place where I can stream it using my cell phone? I can't get cnn video to work.
